Staying at the Hard Rock for the first time - what do you love about the resort?

The pool is really nice and I love the underwater music.

Universal Hard Rock - Club level food COVID

It might be worth it with that many kids, especially if they are able to go around the hotel by themselves.

Are they still using freestyle machines with the unlimited souvenir cup? If so, are we able to fill ourselves or is something doing it for us?

They were filling paper cups and allowing you to put them into your souvenir cup when we were there in November.

Universal Hard Rock - Club level food COVID

We went back in November and some things were prepackaged and put on plates. There were some other food that the attendant would plate for you. I know like one night there were meatballs, antipasta, a meat and cheese tray, and something else. Everything was prepackaged except the meatballs...

First DL trip Halloween party dilemma

My son and I be going to Cali for the first time in Sept :cool1:and planned to do 2 day park hopper 9/19 and 9/20, but I see that 9/19 will be a Halloween party night. I'm not sure what I should do now. :confused3 What are your opinions? Go those two days and head over to CA in the evening...

Potentially planning a trip for the "new" family

Just wanted to get some other crazy DISers experiences or thoughts on my situation. I figured someone has been in it before. Well I've been dating this girl for about 6 months now, she and her husband split last year. She was actually my first girlfriend and very first kiss in middle school...

    Park Security

This is more realistically a problem than most anything else at WDW in my opinion. Metal detectors and bag checks are only deterrents and make you feel safe. There are points of the days where there are several hundreds, of people just standing at the entrance of MK. Just thinking about it...

Fitting in Seven dwarfs mine train

Went on this today. I'm 6'2" and 250lbs, it was tight. My legs barely fit in between the bars. If would be extremely uncomfortable if the ride lasted longer than a minute. Not a fan of the lap bars.

ONE LAST HURRAH | a nov 2015 tr

Booooooooooooo... Avs... I feel like I've went to more Avs games here in Columbus than any other team. Booing Adam Foote was one of my favorite pastimes, although booing Jeff Carter has kind of taken the torch away. Come to think of it, the last Reds game we went to was vs Colorado...

"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

What time do people start lining up to meet Sandy Claws? I really want us to meet him at our MVMCP on 12/6. We have plenty of time that night, no plans other than 1PM Beaches & Cream lunch and the MVMCP. I'm hoping there's a way that we can maybe line up around 5:30ish? I heard he may come...

Memory Makers and a Proposal! Shhh....

Another thought, if it were me, I'd probably do it the first day we were there. That way she would be ecstatic the entire trip and the whole trip would be extra memorable. You could get some have some "Just Engaged" Disney buttons made and wear them the entire trip.

Running at Disney being a single parent

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to make sure it was doable. I'm going to try to convince my brother to come with us when I sign up, but it's good to know there are in-room sitters available for events like this. I'm sure my son would probably still be asleep by the time I get back too. ha

Running at Disney being a single parent

I'm a single full time dad to my little guy who is currently 8. I've been running the past 2 months with my end goal to run a Disney event. I haven't defined whether it's a full or half at this point in my goal planning, but I've been doing pretty good lately. I'm shooting for a 2017 event...

Do the restaurants at Disney leave a certain amt. of tables open or are they all adr's?

Sci-Fi is the only place I know of, but you sit at the tables in the back.

Are your kids banned from watching certain shows?

I know this is an old thread, but I don't really censor a lot from my son. My parents tried to "ban" shows from me as a child and those were my favorite shows and I'd watch them any chance I got. Looking back on it, I mainly only liked those shows b/c my mom said I couldn't watch them. I...

    Single parent runDisney half marathon

Have any single parents done any runDisney events? I'm thinking of signing up for one in 2017, but unsure of what I'd do with my son while I ran. He'll be 10 at that point, he's very well behaved, but I really don't have anyone else to go with us. He has some anxiety problems, so leaving him in...

Anyone FPing today for week after Thanksgiving?

I booked at midnight last night and was able to get anything I wanted. A&E, Mine Train, etc for everyday that I looked. Little dude isn't going to be excited to see Anna and Elsa, but I want pictures with them so ha. lol

Don't forget to sing in the lifeboats! Nov/Dec PTR 2015

Our conversation on the way to child care this morning. "Dad, how many more days until Disney?" "65" "Sweet, only 5 more days until we can make fastpasses" haha Time to decide where we are going to be for the day. I'll probably sit down with him Sunday and we'll make a plan to fit our...

Why, oh Why Dont they Listen???

Our first trip last year ever, just my 7 year old son and I, we probably did 5-6 rides a day. He was afraid of a few, but loves to walk around and look at things and merchandise, so we are in that group that would be fine riding less than 6 rides a day.
