    Awful horrible service pop century

I haven't read the whole thread but online check-in never works for us either. It will let me do it, but it doesn't actually work. I have been told it's because we do room-only and we only pay the first night and then pay the remainder upon arrival. So you need to go to the front desk and they...

    Flight of Passage..a short review.

I haven’t rode it because I am super prone to motion sickness, but my family says it’s the best ride in Orlando by a long shot Congrats on the weight loss, that’s awesome!

    Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Resort

Future was the theme but the architecture was solidly modern. This new hotel can be themed nature but the architecture style also looks to be modern. Which is interesting because there hasn’t been much of that in the Disney Deluxes other than the CR. It will be interesting to see how it turns...

    Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Resort

I’m a CR fan only because we have built up our own nostalgia by staying there over the years. And walking to MK helps as well ;) But objectively looking at its architecture, it’s not as appealing to me as the other deluxes which are more traditional

    Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Resort

It's modern architecture. If you like modern architecture, it looks pleasant enough. It's interesting to me because the deluxe hotels that are beloved to WDW fans are traditionally-inspired. GF, Poly, AKL, WL, BC, YC The one that is modern, the Contemporary, is the one that many people often...

New ticket system coming to WDW - Begins October 16th

I hear you. I think a common theme for most everyone is the increasing lack of flexibility. For tourists, for example, a bad weather day or a sick day is a mess now if you have that coveted FoP FP, for example. This new date system and tightened limits on usage adds another layer of aggravation...

    Which park to skip?

If I had three days, I would do two MK and one DHS. If I had to skip one, it would be Epcot

New ticket system coming to WDW - Begins October 16th

I agree with you, I loathe the picking of dates But why is this worse for FL Residents versus anyone else?

Walt Disney World Date Based Ticket System FAQ • Read First Page

It’s very interesting how they chose to set it up, I agree. I priced a 6 day non-hopper. It was $405 before, now the same ticket is $475, which is a 17% jump in price. Not insignificant! So I agree that by setting it up the way they did they’ve changed the narrative in a sense. Gotta hand it...

New ticket system coming to WDW - Begins October 16th

The proper comparison is to compare a ticket you could have bought yesterday to that same ticket today PLUS the Flexible Date option. That's apples to apples, that's the same product. Anyway, based on that I saved $185 dollars by buying next year's tickets yesterday. So that's good I guess? Sigh

New ticket system coming to WDW - Begins October 16th

So...we are planning on going in 2019 for a week If I buy a set of regular tickets today, will they retain the ability to use them on any date (until the expiration date) In other words, I won't have to worry about all of this date nonsense, which is pretty important to us because we...

    Skyliner VENTS?!?!!!

The gap should be so small that a stroller wheel can't get stuck. The key will be the timing though and navigating the natural movement of the gondola car as you enter it, as it causes a bit of movement as they are hanging if that makes sense

Quick Confirmation - Coffee Outside Park Gates

Another idea is No-Doz. I think they are 200 mgs each so you would probably want to cut them into quarters to approximate a cup of coffee. They work great.

Quick Confirmation - Coffee Outside Park Gates

Just my two cents, I would wake up and go get their coffee at the food court so you are safe. Those carts are unreliable in my experience. (speaking as a coffee addict myself)

Is a Disney World vacation worth it anymore?

Branch out! :) I think we will still go to get our yearly “Disney fix” but we will be minimizing our spending and time spent there.

What's up with all the cutbacks?

First time in seven years we don’t have a trip in our sight or booked. It’s all just gone up too fast. I keep detailed spreadsheets of all of our trips and the same trip we had in 2012 costs 35% more in 2018. Inflation has gone up 9% over the same time period. This is before the upcoming...

Any suggestions on Spring Break that ends with Easter?

As far as crowds, rope drop! The parks became unbearable to me by 1 pm but if you get there early you can have a good few hours. I'm not sure if I would go again that week but I'm glad I did it once :)

"Disney, what has to happen for you to decide that MDE does not work?"

I am trying to cancel ADRs for a trip in November that we cancelled I can’t see the ADRs online so I call. CM can’t find them either She told me that since they were in late November to just wait and cancel them in early November since all of the “enhancements” should be done by then. She...

Tell me about June in Disney

This might be my northern perspective but I think Nov-Mar are the months to truly beat the heat. The rest all feels the same hot to me
