I wish DCL offered a dinner buffet

I’d just love to have a salad bar all the time, even if there were no other offerings. I know some will saying they’ll make a salad from the hamburger fixings, but that’s not what I mean. I also know there are premade salads with the quick service, but I like making my own with a variety of...

    Current *GT/MTO/FLR Discounts!

Thank you so much for brining the Sleeper Rates back! What I loved about them was if it wasn’t a GT rate, I could use my placeholder discount! Or if they were further out, nice to plan & budget for them. Have you seen any great rates past January 2020? Thanks again!

First cruise, and I'm completely lost!

Just a FYI- if you drive to the port in the rental car & plan to kept it while you’re on the cruise, you have to pay for parking at the port which is pricy. It may be worth the parking you want to leave right after the cruise to head into Orlando as parking at the port is convenient.

Won a cruise! Unlimited Funds! Help me book

My advice would be to talk to a travel agent to help you figure everything out, they may have a creative way to either approach your boss for the items that won’t be billed until the cruise or maybe a creative workaround. Also they can just help with the over all planning. I’ve used Dreams...

About those “drink of the day” cup holders ....

I actually like this, not that it’s 2 ounces less, but it seems more sturdy on a ship where a hurricane is top heavy. I could see myself using this after, but I’ve never used the hurricanes we’ve gotten & stopped getting them for that reason.

suggestions for port excursions in Tortola & St. John's, St. Thomas

There were just 2 bars, I’m not sure if the other one had food as we went in the excursion for the Soggy Dollar, the Soggy Dollar has a restaurant- see the link to their menu below. Food was not included in the excursion. https://www.soggydollar.com/eats

suggestions for port excursions in Tortola & St. John's, St. Thomas

The chairs were free to use. Our excursion & a handful of private boats were the only ones there because it’s so remote. They were the lower lounger chairs, but at the Soggy Dollar they had some picnic tables which would be easier for those with hip & knee issues to sit & stand from. Log onto...

suggestions for port excursions in Tortola & St. John's, St. Thomas

I’m sorry, I’m just now seeing this, since I wasn’t quoted, I didn’t get an alert. It was like a half hour boat ride, all smooth with beautiful views, & then we were there like 2-2.5 hours I think. The time went fast. You’re dropped off right at the beach itself, do no time wasting driving then...

suggestions for port excursions in Tortola & St. John's, St. Thomas

Yes, I would as long as they’re comfortable with transferring from the large yacht onto a smaller boat that takes you closer to shore, then you walk the ramp down into the sand-so also be comfortable walking in sand. We actually choose this excursion because my husband had had several knee...

St Thomas Skyride to Paradise Point

So you’re doing the same itinerary that we did! Our favorite excursion ever was from the stop in Tortola, we took an excursion to Jost Van Dyke & we went to the private beach that’s at the Soggy Dollar. It was fantastic, the most beautiful beach that I’ve ever been to. We had the famous...

St Thomas Skyride to Paradise Point

I think I would just recommend walking around the port, it was all very nice, no one approaching you like in ports like Cozumel. Though my husband has problem with stairs (it’s the angle for his knee), he had no issues walking around the port. There were really nice shops including several nice...

St Thomas Skyride to Paradise Point

We did this in September 2018, booked it from Disney (it doesn’t matter though because the cost the day a cruise ship in port it said the same price on a sign for anyone who walks up or books it prior) & were quite disappointed. My husband has a bad knee, & no where did it say you had to go up a...

    Dining room table size?

Yes, we were seated at an eight top! Only one couple showed up the 1st night. The 2nd night the 2nd couple came, & they changed the table setting to 6 at an 8 top. We really liked the 2nd couple, we’ve kept in contact, & we’re talking about another future cruise with them. Our very 1st cruise...

    Dining room table size?

Based on responses on here previously I would’ve assumed that was the case, but we requested to sit alone as a couple on our Dream Cruise last month- this was not granted. The weird thing was that there were tons of empty tables, & our waiter had told us repeatedly the cruise census was low. I’m...
