The thinking I’ve seen is that they don’t want the first groups of the day to wait around 2 hours before coming to ride. Need to get the queue moving so they can move on to call later groups. They may also use the 1-hour window later in the evening, but I’m not certain.

For anyone frustrated about on-site guests not receiving any kind of advantage (i.e., no ROTR morning EMH or early access to boarding groups), bear in mind that NO group is receiving special access. Even people who are paying a lot of money to do a VIP Tour don’t get any kind of special access...

I think the best opportunity may be early on January 1 with so many people staying up late the night before. It’s usually a great time to visit MK.
