A set of pliers is what actually was the first picture. There were two sets of pliers in the second one. Or a pair of plier sets.

Would you rather - park hopper vs. base tickets edition...

Up until I couldn't afford either, I always opted for the Park Hopper. If I had been often then I could spend a half day in each park focusing on my favorites for each. If I was just on my first one, it would give me a chance to really get a feel for the differences and then in subsequent visits...

How many times during your working career have you thought about quitting a job but didn't?

Every single day from my first part time job as a teen to the day before I retired at 63. Most all of the jobs I had during that time I did quit from. It just took years sometimes. The maximum time I stayed was 14 years, if you don't count the 29 years I was married.

How many times have you thought about moving home but didn't?

Once I made the break from my home state, I have never looked back. I quickly adjusted to being where I live now and saw no reason to want to return. I have never felt the connection with buildings or places. Wherever, I am is home to me. No adjustment time needed. If I have my possessions and...

What are your favourite possessions that you don't own anymore?

In 2008 I bought a 2005 Cadillac Deville DHS. It only had 20 miles on it and it had every conceivable switch, button and extra, many of which weren't really normal at the time. Things like a see through screen that would come out of nowhere just by my pushing a button and protect people in the...

How many years do you get out of a mattress?

I hadn't purchased a mattress in years until I moved to NC 13 years ago. I didn't see the mattress when It was delivered and the bed and mattress was assembled. The following year I decided to flip it over, but there was no flip over. I believe that is known as planned obsolescence. What a rip...

    Funny Memes

For sure... but I was thinking more about the norm. Things were available back then, and probably still are, but they didn't have the appeal or social norm for those much after there late 60's to early 70's.

They still existed because they weren't disposable. You could fix them with tubes and the TV repair guy would go right to your house to fix it. (house calls). The seventies started to see a more common sight of smaller Color Tv's. Most of the big units were either black and white or converted...

More like the 70's. By the time the 80's arrived people were more drawn to smaller, semi-portable TV's.

What things in your house that are older than you?

I have a wind up, pendulum, elaborate wall clock. It is over 100 years old and keeps perfect time. It used to have a chime that would sound off the hour (one chime for 1 o'clock through 12 chimes for 12 o'clock but my daughter, when a teen, got annoyed with it when she was trying to sleep and...

Why is Easter in March some years than April?

My best guess would be because God wanted it that way! Just accepting those small things makes life a lot easier.

    Funny Memes

And the fridge that I owned in the early seventies says... HOLD MY ICE CUBES!!!! I could not kill the thing. It was a Kenmore from sears that lasted in our kitchen until we could no longer stand having the Coppertone color in there. I finally left it in the house when I sold it. I also had a...
