Why are you a single parent?

I'm fairly new to being a single mom, and still having a rough go with everything. My DH of 19 years decided "he was no longer happy", and wanted out. Not long after I found out he'd had 6 week affair with a co-worker. For me, the hardest part is only seeing my kids 50% of the time. We have...

Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread #4

Hello everyone, I'm slightly overwhelmed with the number of pages in this thread ... Yikes! :) The countdown is on for our upcoming trip, Dec 20-24. I was just checking out the Dineyland website, and noticed that Disneyland Park has their hours posted for the dates we are going, but...

    No more Airmiles Disneyland hoppers?

I noticed that too! And the strange part is that they were there a week ago! I'm wondering if they just ran out? Hope so, as we have a trip to DL at the end of this year, and I've been saving my airmiles for park tickets!!

    Planning first trip!

Regarding where to stay? We went last August, same dates as you, and booked a townhouse in Windsor Hills. It's about a 15 min drive to DW and we loved it! The owners of the house we rented were Canadian too, from Ontario, and great to deal with. We searched for our rental on VRBO's site...

    Disneyland tickets from Airmiles

Hi there ... I'm beginning to plan our trip to Disneyland ... although we've still got a year to go! We will be doing 3 days at Disneyland from Dec 20-24, 2014. I noticed that Airmiles offers 3 day hopper passes, and I may cash in some of our airmiles to buy atleast the kids tickets. My...

    2014 Roll Call

We will be doing a pre-Christmas trip to Disneyland from Dec 20-24. Hoping to stay on site at Paradise Pier, so we can make good use of the extra early hours, but will have to see. It's so much more expensive .... but I figure with the Christmas crowds it might be worth it! ;) Alison

    Vacation Pool Homes

We rented a 3 bedroom town home in Windsor Hills last August. We booked through VRBO with the owner. We went the first day the rates dropped in mid Aug and we paid $85 a night. We LOVED it, and the kids really enjoyed the splash pool, plus the large community pool was wonderful too! Nice and...

    Photopass shares at DL?

Ok, thanks. I didn't realize there was a difference in price between the photopasses at the two parks. So maybe I won't need to worry about it! :)

    Photopass shares at DL?

I've been apart of shares at WDW, but I just wondered if anyone knows if there are shares for DL? Thanks!

    Why do people stay off-site?

We stayed off site this past August, and I would definitely do it again!!! We rented a townhome at Windsor Hills for $85 a night. There was no way we could stay on site for that price. We had 3 bedrooms, our own splash pool, 3 bathrooms, washer/dryer, etc. It was so nice to come back from a...

I haven't been on here in ages ... I've got a lot of reading to do! Sorry to hear about all the drama with the Disney Store. We live in Winnipeg and ship anything from th US to http://www.mikesparcelpickup.com/ which is just across the border. They charge $5 per parcel too. Always been...

    Coming from Man. or Sask.

I'm not exactly sure where you live, but if you're at all close to the US border, I'd try flying out of the states. We live in Winnipeg, but will be driving to Fargo, North Dakota for our DW trip. The air fare for our family of four will be around $1600 as opposed to $2800 out of Winnipeg.

Just wondered if any of you have ever stayed 'off site' while visiting DW? We still have POFQ reserved, but have only paid the deposit. We are just starting to think about staying at a condo that's 5 min away from DW. Our main reason is to have a bit more space (the kids can have their own...
