Yes every DVC room has a PnP in the room upon arrival. My above average size kids slept in the PnP as old as 2 1/2. I think it depends on the child.

What will the sleeping arrangements be for the kids. When our kids were that age the toddler slept with us and PnP for baby. It will be a tight squeeze with a PnP in a studio, but the convenience of Poly may win out for me.

Hubby used to be into the Big Figs, specifically the StarWars ones. I actually prefer the smaller size, they are way more manageable and take up less space. I had a lot of luck on eBay in the past. Of course you may pay $$$ for rare ones.
