Disney with a one year old

We took both our kids when they were a year and had a wonderful time. We love the coasters, too, so we either took turns or didn't ride. We had been there several times before we had kids, so it wasn't a big deal to us. And most of the rides we could do together. My kids are now 12 and 16...

Who here enjoyed Rivers of Light?

I typically love everything Disney. This I did not. I was bored. My husband and daughter liked it. For me, one and done.

    Disney in September

We went in September many years ago and it was really one of our best trips. The crowds will be lighter. It'll still be hot but less rainy. We got to do MNSSHP and F&W. I think it's a great time to go! I was thinking about going then, too, but my kids want to cruise. Darn it! :)

    Test track single rider line

Not long. We rode it a few times last year, but my son wanted to do it one more time on our last day, so we did single rider. We got lucky - the kids got to get in the same car. My husband and I rode separately, but at least my then 10 year old was not alone. She was supposed to be with me...

The ever popular "will Mission Space make me sick?" question....

We do the green side. My family is fine with it. No one has ever gotten dizzy or sick. The motion doesn't bother me at all. It's the closeness. When the door closes and we're in that tight spot, I can barely catch my breath. I do it every trip for my family, but I think after last...

    How is September?

It's been many years since we went in September (2011) but it was such a great trip! The weather was less humid, but still very warm, the crowds were low AND Food & Wine was going on. Someday I'll get back there for that. . . We usually go in August since our kids are older and we don't want...

    Mission Space Green

Agree 100% with this. It's a very mild ride, but when that door closes, my heart races. Once it starts, I'm fine. But as I get older, I get more claustrophobic and I don't think I'll ever do it again. I remember waiting for it to start - which seems to take forever for me - and my family...

Those who've done MNSSHP, what did you do for dinner?

I wanted to have an early dinner that night, but it didn't work out as I planned. We didn't get a quick start in the morning and ate a late lunch. We ended up eating at Cosmic Ray's during the party. It was crowded, but I don't feel like we wasted that much time. We were there the first...

Big Disappointment in Navi River Journey

We used a FP for this last summer. Thank goodness I didn't have to wait for it. The only one that enjoyed it was my 11 year old. I think it's my least favorite ride at WDW.

Is Characterpalooza in HS a real thing?

That how we handled it. It was us and two other families waiting. A CM from the Express Bus Service approached us all and asked if we were waiting for characters. We said yes and he said "That was yesterday. There are none today." From the wait time on Kenny's site, we only had about 10...

Is Characterpalooza in HS a real thing?

Yes! Yes! Yes! We met the Evil Queen, Aladin and Jasmin, Mary Poppins, Mulan, Donald, Pluto, Pocahontas and Meeko. We went to DHS twice and the second time just got lucky. It was a lot of fun.

    This is Photopass?

We booked BOG for dinner in August. I wanted to try it but I really wanted to meet the Beast. NOT ONE PICTURE turned out. They were all pitch black. I was very disappointed. Their response was that there was an issue with the camera and they would let the photographer know. I will have to...

    What's in your backpack?

Because when it rains, we hate wet sneakers. We go in August, so it rains often. We are in the parks all day - at least 10/12 hours - for 7 or 8 days. So half way through the day sometimes the kids like to switch shoes. I can wear flip flops (the right kind) all day, so sometimes my sneaks...

    What's in your backpack?

We normally just take one. On our trip last month, my kids shared the responsibility of a second one because they wanted to bring things my husband and I didn't feel like carrying. In ours we throw in water bottles, ponchos, flip flops, portable phone chargers and glide.

    first attraction at epcot

I regretted not using our first fp at EPCOT on TT after we did FEA. But, I'm also glad we didn't wait an hour for it. We did wait an hour for TT. And did single rider. And had fast passes for it later in the week. But my 14 year old is obsessed with it. FEA is a one and done for me, too...

    Where Can I Find Stitch?

He was outside of Space Mountain (by the restrooms) three weeks ago. No line when we were there, either.

    Fantasmic or Illuminations

We chose Illuminations last month. We hadn't watched it in quite a few years, so we really enjoyed it. I am not a Fantasmics fan (of the show or the crowds) so we saw Star Wars fireworks instead.

    disappointed with photopass photos

I have to admit, this is the first year I wasn't thrilled either. And I have been purchasing it for as long as I can remember. Most of the pictures are decent. We didn't get too many magic shots, which is okay. (We did ask often.) My main issue was that we went to BOG and ALL of my Beast...

Need some shared experiences on times of year:)

It's hot. It's humid. It rains. We were there from August 17th to 26th this year and some days, the "feels like" temp was 110 or 112. There were times where we were just dripping. Then you get in line for a ride, or a meal and the fans and the ac make it manageable again. Sometimes after...
