Thinking about trying a late day strategy at WDW

I have this same exact question so please let me know how your trip goes. Our last trip was in 2018 when we rope dropped and had perfected our fast pass + strategy. My daughter is now a teenager and neither she nor my husband are interested in early mornings. We have been to Disney several times...

Disney's GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA Information & Questions + Construction Updates

Wow thanks for sharing the wonderful pics! We are staying in a one bedroom outer building suite in November and can’t wait to see the new look. I thought pics/videos of the current rooms looked amazing but these are stunning. Love the window seat table!

    Outer Bldg-1 BR-Park View-Club Level Access

Yes the GF ones have doors into both rooms. All doors open into the interior hallway of the building. It looks like it was originally planned as 2 separate rooms. For the WL deluxe rooms the living room is a little small so it definitely didn’t feel like 2 normal size rooms but overall we loved...

    Outer Bldg-1 BR-Park View-Club Level Access

We are booked in a one bedroom suite at the GF next year and had similar questions. Found this layout from a Facebook post. Its for the outer building ones that are all on the top floor but I think the theme park view ones might be a little different. Touring plans is good to see where all the...

Late March crowds vs July/August heat

This was pre-COVID but we did a prior trip the last week of March for similar reasons. The weather was great and the crowds weren’t horrible. I would definitely choose March over summer.

Trip Cancelled bc of March Closure — Best time to rebook??

My trips as an adult have been 1st week of September, 1st week of December, 1st week of June and a few times for spring break. The heat in September was BAD. So for me summer would be my last choice. I would choose a more crowded time with better weather but that is just our preference. Early...

    Electric Water Pageant

The EWP is absolutely one of my favorite things about Disney World. I too really had no clue about till the 1st time we stayed at the WL. Last trip we were at the Poly and watching it from the beach or pool was one of the highlights of our trip

2019- when will spring break crowds roll in?

So hard to tell. Now that we are constrained to a school calendar we try to go on years our Spring Break is not connected to Easter. Last year was one of those years. It was busy but in my opinion very manageable. We rope dropped and had a good touring plan and expectations going in. Next year...

    Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach

Agree with kids that age I would choose BB. We are big fans of the water parks and think are both great though.

    Columbus OH Hotel

I agree that the Easton area is nice with hotels, restaurants and shopping and isn’t that far north of 70. That would be my recommendation. If you are just looking for a hotel for the night the Stringtown Rd area off 71 just south of the city is probably the most convenient.

Garden Grill, Biergarten or Teppan Edo?

Love Biergarten! It was my 9 year olds favorite meal on our last trip. Thought the food was good md the atmosphere was super fun!

DVC rental: David's vs rental store. Tell me all your pros and cons

We have only used the 2nd company you mentioned and have been very happy. Like a pp said their communication is fantastic. I felt very comfortable about the whole process.

Newbie--Planning for Nov 2018. Should we rent DVC Points???

We rented points for our last stay at the Poly. Process was very easy. We chose a place that offers a cancellation policy. Even adding that it was still way cheaper then the deal we could have gotten direct through Disney. We also LOVE the WL. Haven't tried the Contemporary. The theming just...

    GF VS Poly VS WL

I LOVE the WL but now give the edge to the Poly after our March trip. It is a great resort to stay at with young kids. Love the multiple ways to get to the MK. Also being able to watch the EWP and fireworks from the beach is awesome. We have never stayed the GF and plan to try it out for our...

Best way to get to the Polynesian from Coronado?

Uber. We used it a ton on our last trip.

    So What's Up With Mousekeeping?

Our mousekeeping was fabulous during our March trip at the Poly. No towel animals but they did a great job arranging the blanket and stuffed animals my DD brought daily!

In your opinion what is the most overrated thing in WDW?

Fantasmic. I know this is flameful but I just can't get into this show.

    Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon

We went to both in March with our then 8 year old. I don't think you can make a wrong choice. Overall we prefer Typhoon Lagoon. I like the theming better and the large beach area to setup camp. I think the lazy river at TL is slightly better. And my very ride timid DD LOVES the wave pool...

In your opinion what is the most UNDERrated thing in WDW?

The electric water pageant... I still get excited every time I see it!
