SPACE RESTAURANT WATCH THREAD—Entrance photos post #1609!!

Any speculation out there for why this has been delayed as long as it has? Disney is well versed in both construction and restaurants.

    How have you lost weight?

I diet about 3 months before our trip every year. Keto has been amazing to me. I'm down 20lbs since January 18th. That's from just eating better. If I exercised I'm sure it'd be a lot more. Good luck to you!

How long do you usually go to Disney? (Non- locals)

8-9 nights is what we average. Our longest trip ever being 11 nights. A relative put us in the AKL 3 bedroom villa for that entire trip... talk about an amazing trip.

How do you afford multiple trips?

We start saving about a year out. Although with the way prices are going up and the fact that I'll have two kids to buy tickets for next year. I'm not exactly sure what those vacations look like going forward in to 2022. We typically like to go down for around 8-9 nights with a budget of around...

    Boathouse Recommendations

Oddly enough for a place that serves almost all seafood, I think they have probably one of the best burgers on property. Those fried peppers on top are delicious!

    Raglan Road

Raglan Road is typically a must do for us. However, I'll admit it's probably more for me then the rest of the family. The entertainment is great and they have a good selection of scotch/beer. I think the food is good, but not great.

    Coral Reef

We've been twice and hated it both times. Admittedly I haven't been in a few years but it was bad enough I doubt we'll ever go back. Service was fine but all the lobster was overcooked and tasted like rubber. One of the steaks we ordered was burnt so badly the manager made the chef come to our...

    Driving from Pittsburgh, PA

We drive down from Baltimore. I've done both the one shot drive overnight (highly don't recommend) and stopping overnight. We like to stop in Georgia, which puts us at about 9ish hours of driving for the day, and around 4 hours from Disney. I'd pick a good mid point for yourself and find a nice...

Best Value to Buy a Home near Disney?

Best of luck to you! My parents just closed on a house in Leesburg. I don't ever see myself moving the family down there but at least now I have a reason to go down a few times a year.

    No DHS Reservations

As others have said, it's right after Easter and Spring break for a fair amount of schools. I'd expect it to be extremely crowded. There are dates I actively avoid going to DW and this is one of them.

Disney changed my reservation without my knowledge

I stopped spending extra money on any type of view outside of garden and even then my views have never been very good. If I book water view i'll get 10% 90% bushes. If I book garden I get 10% bushes and 90% parking lot. When we booked a 3 bedroom villa at AKL I got the only one of the bunch...

If you have a moment, help my friend and I choose a deluxe!

Trust me, 20 minutes is a long time after 10PM with a full day at MK packed in to a bus full of people while holding a sleeping child. Every minute counts. I've never stayed at BC but are you sure about that time? It's 5 miles closer to MK.

    Who is Charles?

You're right, how dare I share my opinion on a public forum on a topic specifically talking about Charles... however i'm not really a fan of your opinion of my opinion. You really don't need to share it on a public forum. :rotfl2:

    Week after Columbus Day

October has been our go to for the past 3 years, typically towards the end of the month though. I do agree that it seems to get a little more crowded every year.

    New Disney Dining Show is....

Dining reviews have always been a highlight of the show for me. It's why I originally started listening to the show years ago. Could you guys bring in Kevin for some more reviews? His matter of fact personality always made for great dining reviews that always had me on the floor with laughter.

If you have a moment, help my friend and I choose a deluxe!

We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa at AKL. Everything was fantastic. The restaurants, the pool, the gift shop, etc. My only legitimate gripe was the 20 minute bus ride to MK. If I decide to stay there again I'll definitely drive my own car to MK to cut down on the time. My other complaint was me...

    2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

Thanks, much appreciated! I've never been in there so i'll have to go check it out. We almost always go down during F&W so there are a ton of spots in World Showcase i've never been in.

    2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

My guess would have something to do about people drinking dumb. If someone still wants to do this there are still plenty of places in Epcot for someone to drink like an idiot. On top of that they served pretty much all liquor in a thimble. Is there any place in Epcot to get a good scotch?

To Dining Plan or Not to dining plan.. that is the question..

We've been to Disney 5 times in 6 years. This year will make our 6th trip. We did Dining every year and this will be our first trip without it. On our last night of the 2016 trip we went to pick up some candy to take back home from Goofy's candy store and realized we had something like 3 quick...

Would someone tell Disney to bring back the scotch in Scotland already? We're going on year two of no scotch... :worried:
