Have you been back to your honeymoon spot?

In Feb. 1982, after we both hit on each other at her Navy recruiter’s office, I took my ‘future’ wife out for our first date at the Pheasant Run Resort’s Dinner Playhouse in St. Charles, Illinois. Returning to the scene of our first date, we honeymooned in this resort Oct. 15, 1982. The Cubbies...

    The Bridge On SiriusXM

The Bridge is one of our top 5. Freaked out when they took it off the line-up a few years ago, but so happy it's returned. Highway - wife's go-to channel Bridge 70's on 7 Classic Vinal Beatles Since 2007/2010, we both have Lifetime SiriusXM in our 2 vehicles. I also have lifetime SiriusXM...

    VGF vs Polynesian

Life is short - buy both. And for the record, the Murphy Bed at Poly was so comfortable I stayed in my 'Cushion man-cave' bed while Wife Unit stayed up with her tablet in bed.

Looking for Non-Standard Things to do in WDW?

I am old (and fortunate) enough to say that I have experienced just about all of these blasts from the past. Excellent flashback write-up.

Anyone have a backyard zero entry pool?

We moved to an Active Adult Living (55+) community. We love the Zero Entry pool at our amenities center. It's like we're on vacation all summer long.

    BLT standard, high floor?

We had a Standard Studio on the 1st floor facing the CR/Monorail. It was such a great view, quiet and a quick stroll to everything. I have become a1st floor fanatic and will be requesting the same on our Jan '25 trip.

    Walking Why ?

I just stalk and waitlist the standard studios I want. Been pretty successful so far in my late Jan 2025 hunt. Being retired and within driving distance allows for a lot of flexibility with our dates. I'm a point miser to the max.

Is the heat of September worth the smaller crowds?

Love our late Sept stays at BWV. We sleep in late, enjoy the pool for a few hours and then do a park in the cooler evening hours. We've had hot, moderate, rain and hurricane Ian. Every trip has been well worth it for DW and myself. Being at BWV with access to HS and Epcot makes the Sept heat...

    Oddity with Regions bank?

Love our Regions Bank. Originally had it in Illinois, and was delighted to find the bank in our retirement city in Georgia. Never had an issue with them. Please post your bank statement along with the full account #, your mom's maiden name, your high school mascot and your favorite WDW...

    DDP vs AP/DVC Dining Discount

DW and i are eating less and less these days as we age gracefully. The AP/DVC discounts are our go-to savings. We like to get a pint of ice cream at the resort market for desert after a full day, and often at 20% off vs. 10% in select restaurants.

    D23 2024 expectations (Parks & Experiences)

Yawn fest! Too many broken promises and cost cutting changes. Probably some more 'Pandaverse' updates which nobody asked for. I'm getting too old these days to really get all excited about what Disney promises but is NOT doing.

what things do you overthink on?

Nothing,,,, because there's always a spreadsheet for 'over-thinking' items!

    2024 Moonlight Magic

So my family of 6 adults did the MM at Epcot last month. Being able to get in early and have 3 snack vouchers each was fantastic. Based on the cost of park tickets and the value of the food vouchers, I figure the MM value was $800-$900 for our party of 6. We were able to do all the daytime...

    Talk Me Out of Boardwalk

We added on at BWV 100 pts direct at $200/pt (ouch). It was an emotional purchase, and we could afford that and we accept that. Life is too short to not enjoy the fruits of your labor. Our BWV points are only used at BWV and it is by far our favorite resort since post-Covid restart. We'll be...
