Is it safe to walk from Paradise Pier Hotel to....

I walked from the CVS area hotels down the DCA side of Katella to DLR & DTD 5 nights in a row in Dec 2014 without a worry. Now, I'm 6-7 300# so I usually don't attract any trouble from folks on the street. Late at night there are some folks sleeping in the bushes or on bus stop...

    House rentals

We used VRBO to find a great condo in Windsor Hills. Easily slept 6 without any pull outs and 3 bathrooms for easy prep. There was a nice splash pool too! I think we paid about $105/nite...very close to parks. It spoiled us for off-site WDW trips.

Cannot make a decision...ASMu family suite or two rooms at POP or ASMu?

We've done both ASMu FS and connecting rooms at PoP. With your crew I'd recommend 2 rooms and I'd pick POP over AS. How nice it is to close that connecting door for a few hours of quiet and the kids can do their thing right next door. I think Disney does their best not to split up families...

    Oakland airport to disneyland

If it were me and I had a rental car from Oakland I would drive all the way down I-5 to DLR expecting to arrive about 1200 or 100 AM. Stop about half way in Kettleman City for gas, grub, and a potty break (McDonalds, Subway, Starbucks). I used to drive OC to Stockton every Friday nite in...

    Closet hotel to Convention Center

The Annabella Hotel is just behind the convention center at the intersection of Katella and S.West St. aka Disney Way.....easy walking distance to both convention center less than 5 minutes and DLR entrance and downtown Disney less than 10 minutes. Moderately priced, not too noisy for a...

    Where to stay? Help, please!

I just spent a week at Hotel Indigo on Katella for a confernece (just off Harbor across from DL) and I think it would be great. I booked at $150/nite. Very quiet, nice, clean, great staff. If you ask for a 4th floor room in the back you can see the fireworks each night...or just go out into...

Water Parks for Adults and Non-Swimmers

I've been to both BB and TL many times as an "adult" with family (teen kids), and enjoyed both parks. Even without kids, I think adults only could have fun too. There is plenty of "people-watching" and plenty to do as an adult. Personally, I like to keep the water parks as a half-day...

First Stay at Windsor Hills through Vacation Central Fl--Never Again

We stayed at WH in 2012. It was our first off property stay and probably ruined us for staying on property. The cost was hands down the best investment we've ever made on a Disney trip. We used VRBO..search Disney Dreamin' Fitzclarence Street. Plenty big for our family of 4, plunge pool, so...

    They are just Halloween Lights!

Great idea! I pack extension cords, power strips and my CPAP in my checked luggage all the time and have never been stopped by any TSA screening. Carry on bag is another story altogether. Put everything, including suction cups, in your checked bags and you should be fine. Electrical...

    Mission Space Orange vs. Green???

LOL, 0 G on Green:rotfl2: I've only done green....didn't want to chance motion sickness, but speaking of claustrophobia once rode green and pulled the restraint bar down just 1 click too many. My chest was constricted and I couldn't take a deep breath and started to experience my first panic...

    Deluxe vs. Value

We found the move from Deluxe to Value to be a big change at AMu. If I did value again I would only do POP; we haven't done AoA yet. I'd go Deluxe twice a year....location, theme, crowds and all that "deluxe" feel would make my decision for me. I haven't run the numbers, but I don't think...

Eastern Airlines rises from the ashes!

....just a word to the wise. We were on one of the last DirectAir flights in/out of Ft.Meyers for a WDW pre-cruise stay on our 2012 trip. I was nervous about trusting a "discount" airline with a $10,000 vacation but DW was convinced the $600 airfare for 4 around the President's week school...

    Alcohol at resort

We use Happy Limo for each WDW trip from MCO to our resort with a grocery stop a Publix. We buy water, breakfast foods, fruit, mixers and booze. Last trip we paid $110 plus tip for the limo....it's a great way to arrive :cool1: ..... kids love arriving in the limo, no luggage hassles and we...

    Reviews of Disney Resort Rooms

We've stayed on site 4 times and never had an issue with our rooms. I don't want to totally discount the chance that some rooms have issues. As OP have said, multiply the number of rooms X365 days/year of constant use and there will be issues. People don't post critiques when everything goes...

    Can YOU go without hoppers?

We always hop. We pick a park for each morning, then back to the resort for swim, nap, cocktail, then dinner and on to our evening park choice. We love the flexibility of hoppers and wouldn't do WDW without it.

Muppetvision - fun for kids who are not familiar?

I grew up watching The Muppet Show on TV....my kids never saw The Muppets prior to visiting WDW, but they loved the show....especially when they were little (7 & 10 first time around) but even last time when they were 13 & 17 they loved it with no Muppet knowledge! Have fun!

    WDW in August

We did 2 August trips in a row 2009 & 2010 always just after value season II began with FD. Crowds were never a problem, except when waiting for buses in the full sun at AsM & POP. Parks and H2O Parks were busy, but not crazy. I would do it again instead of pre-February school vacation...

Height requirements-Very tall 2 year old

I have to agree with others....you know your kid, we don't. My 4 year old was tall enough for every ride and embraced them all...TOT, BTMRR, SM, RRC etc. She laughed when her 7 yr old sister cried thru HM. She has loved all rides including roller coasters to this day. Again, it is up to you...
