When does DCL charge the card posted to your account?

I'm going on a 7 night cruise on the Fantasy. I'm trying to figure out when DCL puts an actual charge to your credit card. Is it still $500?

Cancelled Disney, Changed to a Universal Vacation!

I'm adding my experience to the mix. We hadn't been to Universal since 2010 and were DVC members up until last year when we sold it. My son went to school at Embry-Riddle and for his graduation in May, we decided on Universal because he had an annual pass (couldn't afford Disney's) and I...

APH Rates Are Currently Available... [UPDATED 07/27/18]

I'm another example that you have to keep on checking the rates. We are only staying one night after our cruise on Saturday September 28th, a Saturday night stay during HHN. Wanted to stay at SF, but all rates were high. Ended up booking off property and resigned to the fact that we wouldn't...

Boston ABD vs on our own

I would also had a visit to the Aquarium, the Museum of Science, the Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Museum (sight of the famous art theft), shopping on Newbury Street, the Mapparium, and a tour of Fenway Park. Even if you aren't into baseball, the history and tour is great. Sorry, I'm...

Boston ABD vs on our own

I live between Boston and New York. I would definitely do the NYC ABD, but I would never do the Boston one. The itinerary isn't the greatest for that city and you can see more on your own, especially if you get a T pass. I'm not saying you wouldn't have fun on the ABD, but I really don't...

Didn't expect to love Universal/Islands of Adventure so much!

Another Disney diehard here who formerly owned Dvc, had an AP, and even a son in the DCP. Absolutely loved our first trip back in a long time. It will also be a long time before I visit the World again. Portofino was so much better than the GF, themed throughout instead of becoming more...

    Minion Mayhem potentially removing 3D

Just came back Thursday and I liked the 3D a lot, from what little I saw of it. The woman in front of me kept on reaching up to grab the 3D objects which of course blocked my view of a lot of the 3D effects. :headache: Interesting to note that her kids did not do this.

? about check in/tickets with FL rate

We had two rooms for the four of us. My son had the FL resident rate for one of the rooms and my daughter was not. They never asked for proof of residency upon check in.

PORTOFINO BAY HOTEL INFO...FAQ`s and more.......

I just got back. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but there seemed to be a lot of conventions both at the Portofino and Sapphire Falls.

    Motion sickness with early pregnancy

Granted my last pregnancy was 18 years ago, but my morning sickness lasted every day. My doctor told me to take Unisom for it and it helped. As always, I would have her consult with her doctor before taking anything.

APH Rates Are Currently Available... [UPDATED 07/27/18]

That's basically what I did. We ended up in 2 rooms. My son is a pass holder already. I bought a Seasonal Pass and checked my dates. I think as long as you bring an AP to the desk before check out you are fine. According to the conditions, room only can be cancelled up to 6 days before...

Am I missing something about early May?

I was able to grab an aph rate each for 2 2-queen gardenview rooms at Portofino for $234 for our 4 night stay that week. That was in January. You may just want to book a room, so you'll have it, and then keep checking for a better rate. I'm sure at some point you will find one.
