Did you try DVCrequest.com? Occasionally they have short-stay availability on short-notice for much cheaper than rack rates. I confess it has been two years since I used them, and don't know current prices, but they were great.

Great question. I didn't realize that a store within the park gates might not be Disney owned! It probably wasn't. I've never been asked for ID before during any of my shopping excursions at WDW or DLR.
