I will be coming from Chicago with 6 other guys to watch the Blackhawks play the Lightning. Can you please recommend some places to go eat/drink before the game at the St. Pete Times Forum. It doesn't need to be right next to the stadium but nothing too far away.

Family trip to Nashville soon to watch the Chicago Blackhawks. Any fun things to do with the kids (ages 12 and 8) on Friday night or Saturday morning\day?? A dinner show??? I know there is a science museum not too far away.
We will be staying near the Grand Old Opry.
Any input is...
My family and I (wife, kids 11 and 7) have stayed at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort for the past 4 years. They have some expensive rooms ($300+) to some more moderate prices.
Nice quiet beach!

Do you know where you will be staying? Once you figure that out, it will be easier to see what there might be to do in the area. If you're planning to get Hawks tickets, I would look into them now. It's difficult to get tickets this year. If you do end up going to a game, there are some good...
I agree with too much planning. I understand people want to get their money's worth and try to see/do everything, but it's just not possible. I would add not having some down time in your schedule. It's important to relax a bit each day. I don't think everyone realizes that a trip to Disney...
I agree with everything the previous posters have said. Chicago is magical at Christmastime! (Can you tell how much I love my city?) If you do go to Garrett's for popcorn, ask for the Chicago mix, which is caramel corn and cheese corn mixed. It is divine! I second the idea of a carriage...
I vote for the Pina Colava. I've had it at the Beach Club, from the poolside bar, and also at Mizner's in the GF. I know they also make it at the Brown Derby in DHS. It's a pina colada, but the bartender puts raspberry puree in the bottom of the cup. It's really delicious!

Does anyone use the reusable Sigg water bottles? I read in the Chicago Tribune this morning that the liners of bottles bought prior to August 2008 contain trace amounts of BPA. I checked the results from testing that was done on the bottles to see if there was any leaching of the BPA, and the...
I am! I'm a latecomer to the Outlander party having just discovered this series earlier this summer. I am about 3/4 of the way through The Fiery Cross. I'll read the next one, and then pick up An Echo in the Bone. I hope it's as good as the previous books in the series.

If you are told that a particular restaurant is full, I encourage you to show up in person and see if they have any openings.
This past summer, I was told that there were no more ADR being accepted for Biegarten the day I wanted to attend (party of 8). I called again another day and was told...
Nothing like the smelll of a Mold-A-Rama from Brookfield Zoo! Of course my kids have to touch it right when it comes out and then complain about how hot it is.
