Our first trip together and first time, for either of us, at POFQ. We have a King room reserved, any hints on getting a river view, we don't mind walking so even the room in Bldg 1 would be acceptable.

I would request, 1St floor lake front. Those rooms have patios about 4 feet away from Bay Lake. Best "Garden View" rooms in all of Disney World!

You could try getting off of I-75 at exit 329, take FL44 east to US27 south to US192 east to the main entrance into Disney. That's a short diversion from the interstate. Not sure how scenic it's been over 30 years since I've been on those roads.

You all are probably right, but if you're taking I-95 remember you pass by Sesame Place and you're going through Philadelphia, where the Declaration was signed. I wouldn't count out traffic for Independence Day holiday, others yes, not this one. Around Philly anyway. JMHO, your mileage may...

From the looks of things I'd choose I-77 just to avoid Atlanta, but I've never been on I-77 north of I-81 so others would be better to answer this.
