Armed Forces Salute 2017 released today!

Okay, so here's my question. We have used Military Salute tickets many times--very successfully, and very appreciative. This year, our children are older, with children of their own, so our Wishes aren't necessarily the same. Hubby and I are BOTH retired military. The rep at Shades of Green...

    Recent THV stay observations

I don't know if they switched the beds out, but we had two average sized 24 year olds (sons) in the bunk beds, and they didn't have a problem at all (or at least, not that they mentioned).

    Recent THV stay observations

I loved staying at the THV, and would definitely do it again. Loved the seclusion, and room for kids to play. Three things to be aware of, IMO: While I have never before needed to buy bug spray (like you spray on your skin) while at Disney, I did on this trip. Not unexpected at all...

Question on large party Military Salute Tickets

We can both buy six, I know that for a fact (we are both retired military). But since my original post, I have also found out that the ones bought at SOG are activated at the time of purchase. And the entire party does not need to be there.

Where can I lodge a complaint?

Complaints should be lodged at the time and place when the incident happens, not hours or days later. It's only fair to give them a chance to rectify the problem on the spot.

Where can I lodge a complaint?

I think "a real disappointment" is a little strong for simply not getting a turkey sandwich. But that's just me, I guess...I'm pretty easy to please, especially on vacation.

Where can I lodge a complaint?

How old is your daughter? Looks like a turkey sandwich is only on the kids menu at lunch. But it is available for all at dinner.

    Why do people bring infants?

Even if they don't remember, they still have fun (well, as long as they are old enough to be aware, so maybe 5 months?). And having that fun shapes their personality---whether they "remember" occasion or not. Just like neglect or abuse at an early age shapes future behavior, so do joy and love...

Would you leave a 9-year-old while you go on a ride?

I would not leave the 9 year old alone, especially since it would probably be several times a day. What I would do instead is let the 13 year old bring a friend along on the trip. We did that many times.

Question on large party Military Salute Tickets

My husband and I are both retired military, and my son's BIL is a Reservist. So there's a total of 18 Military Salute tickets between the 3 of us. My question is if I buy tickets at our base Tickets and Tours, for my son, his wife and their kids, do I have to be the military member who is with...

Lots of Luggage VS Laundry on Vacay?

Laundry. We stay in the villas with washer/dryer, so it's really convenient to just do a load or two every couple nights. Plus it's great if it rains or for the swimsuits.

Help in deciding which parks to visit

I would do MK, AK, and HW. I'd skip the extra walking, for little pay off (in terms of kids) of Epcot.
