    "Official" 2024 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

    LOL. DH used to use “sorry, we’re out of town that weekend” as an excuse to avoid weddings, especially for invites from acquaintances that we really don’t know well. Then, he’d feel guilty for lying and have me book a trip to WDW so he wouldn’t be. A win in my books, I’d much rather go to...

    Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

    Surprisingly, the remake we enjoyed most was Aladdin. Haven’t even watched LM yet, and B&tB was a disappointment. Not sure I will bother with Mufasa in theatres, but at least it’s new-ish content so I will probably watch it once it hits D+ although I’m not interested enough to commit the...

    Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

    Yeah. Just booked AKL for February instead of YC/BC. No SAB was a pain, although we could chance it since who knows if February would be warm enough for swimming anyway. But add in resort construction of unknown impact, and I’m bailing. Unless they put out a really sweet deal, of course, but...

    •The Official POLYNESIAN VILLAS & BUNGALOWS Owners and Fans info thread•

    Thoughts on building to request… Is it hard to get a ground floor std view studio in Tokelau? I was planning to request Tokelau to be closer to the pool, but we are hoping for ground floor. Or is Pago Pago a better option to be closer to monorail and parking? It’s a mostly no-parks trip...

    Adventures by Disney have lot's of great experiences

    Only the day 6 travel day is completely lost to activities. The others, there’s at least dinner and fireworks in the evening. The half day flights and the short hop are pretty irrelevant to us, especially flying private where there is likely expedited security and checkin. We live on an...

    Adventures by Disney have lot's of great experiences

    I think only two days are fully devoted to travel, all the rest it’s relatively short hops and part days of activities. We will likely use the India and Egypt days as downtime as well, our focus is the parks not sightseeing. And we are retired, so it’s not like I have to worry about being...

    Adventures by Disney have lot's of great experiences

    We’re booked for the June jet departure. We opted out of a lot of the non-park activity options to give us more time in the parks, and we are pretty excited about some of the exclusives and backstage stuff. And we’re retired, so I can sleep at home afterwards. lol For what you get, the...

    Grand Californian Super Thread

    If I have something called an Artisan Suite booked (via AbD) what does that correlate to on the direct booking website for GC? I’m seeing a variety of suite options, but none by that name. Followup questions… Where are they generally located in terms of view and convenience? Is there a good...

    Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

    We almost always fly into TPA, mainly because that’s where our direct flights go. MCO would mean connecting flights, so you lose any time you save by being closer to WDW. But we do a car rental, even if it just sits all week. We always do skip the line, so we never have a wait at the car...

    Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

    We’ve had Uber drivers cancel on us simply because they didn’t want to deal with Epcot closing time traffic. (And once at MIA, a driver pretended he couldn’t find us so he could cancel because of not wanting to deal with arrivals area traffic.) This trip would be way worse for a driver. The...

    Look into a one-way car rental. One of the hotel locations near Disney Springs for pickup, return to TPA. Might be a little more expensive than an Uber, but way less hassle.

    Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

    Depending on the length of your stay and whether you need round-trip or not, you may just want to get a rental car. DH priced Lyft out at about $100-120 or so each way, and we do relatively short stays, so it’s generally cheaper for us to rent, especially now that hotel parking is free again.

    Am I the only one who was wowed by the fact that the grandkids, even Abigail who is often very outspoken again Disney, wrote in support of Iger and the current board in the current proxy battle? Like, if Abigail is against you over the Disney management that she regularly slams, how bad are...

    private jet adventure??

    It’s one of the reasons I like the fact that the final days are at WDW, where we have APs and have done pretty much everything hundreds of times. I won’t feel any pressure to do the majority of the park stuff other than the exclusive and behind the scenes stuff, not like I would if we were at...

    private jet adventure??

    It’s not. Our guide told me there are a few spaces left on each departure, but that it’s sold enough seats to run, there’s no danger of cancellation.

    Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

    I haven’t seen this mentioned yet, and maybe I’m reading too much into this, but I don’t see any mention of “resort guest with ticket package” - it just keeps saying resort guest. Could that mean that this is a perk we APs will also get? That would be a great perk, especially for out of state...

    "STORMIN THE BEACH" BCV Owners- and GROUPIES WELCOME HOME !!

    If your brother picked BC based on Stormalong Bay, he should also be looking elsewhere, especially since if he booked cash he’s likely paying premium prices for a lesser experience.

    Accessible villa - does this exist?

    Figured as much. Guess it’s cheaper points-wise since we can book hers for a shorter time, so that’s a plus. We’ll just have to hope hers is near ours, since location requests are never 100%.

    Accessible villa - does this exist?

    Question for those who have stayed in accessible villas… Does a 2 bdrm villa exist at Aulani which has a regular bathroom (non-accessible) for the master/1 bdrm portion and an accessible (not tub) shower in the second bdrm/studio portion? We have an Aulani trip planned for January 2025, and my...
