For our trip to WDW in August 2010 we decided to do our very first split stay, starting out at the Contemporary and ending at the Boardwalk Inn. Now prior to that trip the majority of the time we only stayed at the Contemporary which we always enjoyed. However after trying the Boardwalk Inn we...
My favorite main item is the ESPN Dinger Sandwich which I order all the time. Besides that some of my favorite appetizers is their Chicken Wings, Macho Nachos For Two and their Clam Chowder Soup. Here are my pictures of those following items.
At the Contemporary I would highly recommend the Contempo Cafe.
At the Boardwalk Inn & Villas I would highly recommend the Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk Pizza Window & Boardwalk To Go.
1) That's only true if you reserved their Garden Suites. However if you reserved a Standard Club Level Room, Deluxe Club Level Room, 2 Bedroom Suite, Sonora VP Suite & Steeplechase Presidental Suite, then you will be staying in their main building.
2) Besides Flying Fish their other Table...
The Bus to the Magic Kingdom only shares with the Swan & Dolphin. So the pick up/drop off order is as follows. #1 Boardwalk, #2 Swan, #3 Dolphin and #4 Magic Kingdom. That means when coming back from there the Boardwalk is the 1st stop.
However their Buses to the Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach...
The two times I stayed in a Standard Club Level Room I was in room #4223 which was very close to the lounge. However it's harder to request specifc room numbers because chances are someone could be staying in it when you arrive, so that's something to keep in mind. Basically I would request as...
Honestly in my opinion the view is not noisy at all. In fact I would say the rooms with a Boardwalk/Crescent Lake view are less noisy then a room at the Contemporary Tower I had which was over Chef Mickey's. Plus their view can't be any different then a Lagoon View at the Yacht Club or Beach...
Assuming there is no major sporting event going on the ESPN Club @ Disney's Boardwalk Inn & Villas doesn't accept ADR's and when it's a normal day there are no waits to get a table.
If you were to take the Boat or walkway from Hollywood Studios to the Boardwalk then I would highly recommend the ESPN Club, which happens to be my favorite Table Service Restaurant. Now they don't accept ADR's and how busy they are depends if there is a major sporting event going on that...
This past December when I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn there was two times when I was able to take out food from the ESPN Club, so that's at least one Table Service Restaurant where you can do that. However the catch is they automatically add 18% gratuity on all their take out orders.
Assuming there is no major sporting event scheduled to take place then you should have no problems getting a table at the ESPN Club.
As for Big River Grille & Brewing Works when I had dinner there this past December it was between 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM and there wasn't a wait to get in, so that...
If you happen to be staying Club Level at one of the Deluxe Resorts I think online check-in is not needed because those guests get a private check-in inside the Club Level lounge of the resort they are staying at.
Also others have mentioned if you have specifc requests it's best not to...
No matter what sporting events are happening I would say they are always be busy on Saturday nights.
For example this past September I happened to be at the Boardwalk during the 1st day of the NCAA College Football season and there was lineups from the afternoon well until the evening. Plus...
Honestly their Chicken Wings are very good and filling, so those would be a great appetizer if you had to order them and I sometimes order them as my main meal. Another example of a filling appetizers is their Macho Nachos For Two and their Clam Chowder Soup.
When going to Epcot it's best to walk towards the Boardwalk because you go past the ESPN Club and up that bridge you will then see the path towards the International Gateway entrance.
As for going to Hollywood Studios once again walk towards the Boardwalk then once you get there right by...
