So it has happened.. we are finally taking our first Disney cruise. I thought I would start a PTR from the overanalyzer and overplanner!

Who are we?

Josh and Sarah from Peoria, Illinois. We were married April 5, 2012 at Walt Disney World. We had the loveliest wedding at the Wedding Pavilion, reception at GF (with the best food ever!) and a beautiful dessert party with Wishes fireworks.. Every girls dream! It was amazing :)

Disney trips-
Engagement trip: Jan 1-7, 2011
Planning session: Sept 1-8, 2011
Christmas vacation: Dec. 26-Jan. 1, 2011
Wedding trip: April 1-10, 2012
Anniversary cruise: May 9-21, 2013

Flight planning:
Flight drama as it always goes. Found the $59 flight, hurried and convinced hubby to cruise on Disney line "because hunny the flight is so cheap". Well of course, went to book and it jumped from $59 one way to $179 one way. Boo! But I did a trick that I learned from shopping at Kohl's... I put everything in my cart and at the last minute did not check out but left the website. Mind you, one day later.. coupon for first class at $179. We booked on the spot which will help pay for the checked bags and a little extra space. So cheap flight.. not exactly. Good flight... exactly. :) Let's hope I can say that post our trip!

So what exactly is your plan, Sarah?
We ended up using David's rental for some DVC points. We usually go through friend's but didn't want to bombard them this year like we have previously.
Pre-cruise we are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which is a new spot to stay and we loved Boma. We upgraded to Savannah view because we thought we'd enjoy some time on the balcony.
Post cruise we are going to stay at Saratoga Springs so we can hit up Earl of Sandwhich (my husband's favorite) and enjoy Downtown Disney our last day.

We will be on the same cruise as you!! :banana: This will be our first Disney cruise, and we are beyond excited! We're driving down that Friday and will spend the night at AKL and drive over to Port Canaveral on Saturday. We just paid off the cruise today so we are thrilled. ::banana:

By the way, congrats on your wedding at Disney World! I bet that was amazing.

When I clicked your pre-trip report link from our cruise thread and tried to reply to you here, it logged me in as someone I am not!! After posting and seeing that, I deleted the content, logged out, re-logged in and am trying again. What's up with the Dis??? I do think I know who that user is. Lives in my area but is not on this cruise. :confused3

Anyway, my hubby and I are also on this cruise. My 17th and his first (Finally!).

You are SO lucky to have had a wonderful fairytale wedding and magical Disney vacations. Looking forward to reading more of your pre-trip report! :)

Thank you for your kind words. It was a dream. I am so lucky my hubby is such a disney fan- most of our friends get tired of the disney talk. :3dglasses I think that is completely creepy how you can log in as others... so weird! I have a heck of time with this forum site. Always being kicked off. This will be our first Disney cruise and our 7th trip to Disney in 3 years. hahahahaha! We are debating on getting tix or not or just enjoying the Animal Kingdom Lodge. (Knowing us we can't live without going to a park!) I sure miss our annual pass.

It freaked me out! I was already logged in (I stay logged in) and posted a couple of times. Then I clicked on your pre-trip report link in your signature, composed a post and it posted as someone else. Have never had that happen before, however . .

On a different board (that begins with a "P") I used to have the user name of Stormy. I suddenly saw posts by "Stormy" that were not mine! I contacted a mod. They said the system somehow allowed someone else to register with the already taken (by me!) name. Both of us were posting with the identical user name, even though we were not actually accessing each other's accounts. I had the mod change me to Taswira, which I'm known as on most boards. Freaky! :scared1:
