Is this typical?
I am very interested in a contract through the one resell site. I have contacted Shontell by phone and email to get more information on this contract and hopefully put in a bid today. I still have not heard back from her in over 24 hours. I have mainly dealt with the TSS in the past and their communication has been almost instantaneous.

That particular company is painfully slow and I haven't had a good experience with her. She seems to be one of the brokers that represents her seller rather than the buyer's interests equally. This is my personal opinion but I would steer clear unless it's really what you want. I gather it's a one person team over there.
ETA: While I have not purchased through TSS, I do believe that of the big players, they have the best accessibility and communications so you might be a little bit spoiled in that regard. I called TSS the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and presented several offers. They took them all to the sellers (all of which were rejected) and contacted me within 15 minutes each time. There were like five contracts all with the same use year just with different listing prices so they worked with me offering each seller on the site. Fidelity is great during business hours, but if anything comes up outside of business hours or on a holiday, good luck. The contract we had waited to find for three months was posted on Fidelity's website on Thanksgiving day. It was agonizing not being able to get with Rachel until 8 am Monday morning but it'll worked out perfectly. She said they had several calls into her that morning about the contract but since we had emailed expressing interest first, it was ours as long as we gave asking price. |

I had a discussion about this topic a year ago.
Bottom line: I found communication turn around time to be longer than I expected. I thought it was substandard, but was advised that it was not that unusual amongst the different brokers. |
Thanks for your replies! When spending this type of money, I guess I just expected a little faster turn around time!

I just received an e-mail from Rachel at Fidelity and today is her last day:( I'm so bummed! I loved working with Rachel!
I'm sure she has been busy making the transition to leave...probably why she has been slow to respond! |

Oh no. My offer with Rachel was just accepted by seller. Hope it all works out or I'll need to start looking again

I was dealing with Rachel on my cancelled contract (I made offer through her on 88 HH points with Aug UY, offer was accepted, contracts signed and sent in, deposit made and cleared my bank, e-mail sent from Rachel saying contract was sent to Disney for ROFR, 8 days later an e-mail came from another person there saying that contract was cancelled and a legit reason was given, a couple days later I saw 88 point HH contract with Aug UY listed with another broker less some points and with a note saying they couldn't close until 8/13....hmmmm same contract that was cancelled on me???? Sure looks like). I guess I am glad it got cancelled...or who knows where we'd be right now with Rachel leaving. Then I still continued to work with this company and e-mailed Sharon on a Saturday about a 150 HH contract and said we wanted to make an offer...didn't hear back for a few days and by then we had calculated what our annual MF would be (with the new 150 points on top of our current 275) and we changed our minds. Now, we have decided we will not use this company...I read on another thread that they are also adding on a $195 fee to be paid by the buyers on top of all the other fees/charges.
