Disney and Scooby Do?
Disney is rumored to be acquiring the rights to Scooby Do! Wow! What a franchise! Maybe a whole land at WDW. It could be epic! Will future movies be in the works? Will Velma or Daphne be a Princess? Fingers crossed.

Isn't Scooby Doo contracted to Universal for theme parks already?
|
Scooby Don't.
Nice joke by the way. Let's see where this takes us... popcorn:: |
We already have Pluto and Goofy. No need for another dog. Cedar Fair had Scooby Doo until they switched to Peanuts. I really hope Disney doesn't do this. Not a good fit, IMHO.

Zoinks, wonder if they would do it for 3 Scooby snacks?:thumbsup2

I have noticed Scooby Doo rides at a couple of Six Flags parks that I have been at.
|
Doesn't Six Flags own Scooby Doo...or the rights or whatever?
|
Good one Peter! :thumbsup2

I got my pic made with Scooby at Six flags this past summer - so I think they will have to talk to 6 flags

Scooby is a Hanna Barbara character which is now owned by Time Warner. Meaning, Disney would probably have to buy Time Warner to acquire the rights to Scooby. And that would mean acquiring the rights to....Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Fred Flintstone, Road Runner, Yogi Bear, and probably 2/3 of the cartoon characters out there that are not already under the Disney umbrella.

Six Flags St. Louis actually has a well-done Scooby Doo ride that is basically like WDW's Buzz Lightyear ride, only it is set on water. And some of the targets will shoot water back at you if you hit them. Pretty cool, actually.

Awesome dude, maybe a Mystery Machiene simulator complete with the delightful smell of hippie and munchies!
