We stayed in September which is a quieter time of year. We had the upper veranda casabellas booked by Ama Ama. We ended up hating the location - completely shaded, off the beaten path, far from the restroom. We felt like outcasts. So around 9:30am, I explained our situation to the CM at the towel hut and asked if we could move to a beach casabella instead so we could be near the action and in the sun. We had our choice of casabella - only one had been reserved at that point. We ended up booking one for the day, but didn't feel it was worth it for $75 so we did not reserve any the rest of the week. Waiter service was few and far between, and beach/umbrella seating on the beach was ample. There were always tons of chairs and umbrellas around so the value of the casabella was lessened because of that for us. Really for $75, you're just paying for the reserved seat (which isn't necessary), the cushions, and cup holders. The retractable awning is cool but works the same as the umbrellas which are everywhere on the beach.
If you're going during a very busy time, it might be worth it for the reserved seat factor but from everything I've read, beach chairs always seem to be readily available no matter the time of year.
