Congratulations to everyone on here that got engaged!!

Got engaged June 12, 2015!! I'm so excited for our Oct 1, 2017 wedding on Disney Fantasy Cruise. First time on a cruise!! Bad thing about having a long engagement is that you end up changing your mind a dozen times. Can't wait to start planning in January 2017!!

I know exactly what you mean, I am not getting married till January 2018 and can't even start planning till Jan 2017. What am I going to do with myself? Lol!
Congrats! :bride: Can't wait to follow along with you lovely ladies and read your thoughts on some of the options Disney provides. I'm sure many of you will be helping me with my questions in the near future :earboy2:

I actually found a site that gave me more detail on the wedding planning on the cruise YAY, it was a ton of help! Not planning is driving me crazy. I want to get the planning out of the way and have plenty of time to relax :)

Still confused :guilty: and searching as much as I can.

What are you confused about? I'm sure we can help!

Hi everyone! I'm Rachael, and we got engaged earlier this year :) Planning a 2017 September wedding with the Escape package :) Not being able to book until many months away is stressing me out!! Does anyone know how likely you are to get your preffered dates? We are from Scotland and will be traveling to Orlando with our closest family. Everyone would like to buy plane tickets asap to get them at their cheapest, but we are afraid of everyone paying for tickets and then finding out Disney have no availability for the week we want.

So exciting seeing so many Disney brides here, look forward to reading more tips from you all :)

Hey Rachael, congratulations.
I struggled with the same conundrum myself about when to book flights etc.
Ultimately I had to book them well in advance of the wedding to get the best deal as there are 9 of us travelling from the UK.
I told myself that I was bound to get something during the 2 weeks we'd be there even if it wasn't the location or time that I wanted. I was lucky to get the day and location I wanted and it was the wedding Pavillion too - we get married Jan 31, 2017.
In reality I have seen many posts on here about the yacht club gazebo hardly ever being booked up so if you're willing to be flexible you should be ok.
Good luck with your planning

Hi Girls!
It melts my heart reading about all of your wedding planning! What a fun time of life.... My husband & I have been married for almost 20 years. The first time around, we went on a WDW honeymoon, but didn't have the actual Disney wedding experience. I would love to re-new our vows sometime in the next year/year & a half. I am very new to the Disney forum. Looking forward to keeping up with all of you as you continue planning. I will be sure to help add to the conversations as soon as our actual planning starts! Until then, trust me, @lurkyloo is the Disney wedding Queen! I haven't even looked at a fraction of her page yet, but I can tell she is amazing & I highly recommend her page :)

I am also January 2018! We submitted our date choices to Disney last week. Now the hard part :stitch2:

My name is Jess and my DF and I got engaged June 2016 at Victoria & Alberts. So stressed about getting our preferred dates, but also so excited!

I am so glad I stumbled onto these forums! Chris and I got engaged October 1st and we are planning a Disney Escape wedding for December 2017! Looking forward to hearing about everyone's progress so I can learn and take notes. Congrats to all the happy couples!!

Just wanted to say hi! We got engaged in April 2016 on the last day of a trip to San Francisco for a friends wedding. He proposed near Fisherman's Wharf. (Should have done it the day before when we were at the Disney Family Museum, lol.) We are booked for a Mini Wishes wedding September 26, 2017. I can't wait!

So far I only have the photographer booked. (And a possibly THE DRESS, but don't tell FMIL that. I bought a used one our first year of dating off ebay and I still love it, but it's TIGHT!)

I gave DF the job of finding the officiant and planning the welcome party, which of course he hasn't done anything with yet...

Maybe I should just start a planning journal...

Hi everyone!

I'm Lauren and I'm getting married at the Rose Court Garden at the Disneyland Hotel on April 30, 2017. 184 days to go!

I just submitted my planning pages to my wedding planner on yesterday, so now it's time to get into the details. Including the budget, sadly. LOL.

We just got back from our Honeymoon. 7 days at the Yacht Club. A few things we did: when checking in tell the front desk it is your honeymoon. You will get a surprise voicemail congratulating you and celebration buttons. Also whenever you scan your magic band it shows up as "just married" to the CM.
We had romantic dinners at Le Cellier and Ohana and both were great.
Finally, make sure to see wishes at MK. Great show and very romantic.
Have fun.

Hi there, my sister just got married at the boardwalk sea breeze point, 10/24/16
Twenty people. Wedding was beautiful, we dined at OHANA
4:30pm dinner. Everyone took the shuttle bus from beachclub to magic kingdom then boat to poly. It was so nice, they announced that they got married, many times people were hitting there glasses to cheer on the bride n groom kisses.
We also had private reserved Epcot illuminations dessert party that night.
Everything was just so magical,
Especially her wearing her wedding dress
All through Epcot at night, being cheered on by thousands of people with congratulations to them what a great way to end our night.

Hi! We're in the process of planning a November 17 Escape at Becah a club or boardwalk! :) were already scheduled to be there a week through thanksgiving so the dates I want are limited!! Anyone ever have trouble getting the date they wanted!!
