I was surprised they were out so early...I set my alarm for 6am and after logging in there were already released. It was 6500($114) points each way PVD to MCO. Not bad but i'll keep checking to try and get some points back. I used 5500 each way back in January. By 6:30am my in-laws booked the same flights and they already jumped to $143 or 8600 points each way.

Our flights for the four of us was $365 dollars (combined) more than I was expecting, but it doesn't help it is memorial day weekend. :headache:

Ours were higher than I was hoping for. STL to MCO 5/20-5/27 about 12,500 points each leg for 3 people. For comparison, I booked flights for this upcoming weekend (12/9-12/12) about a month ago for around 14,000 points round trip per person.

There really isn't a sale going on for dates after 5/8 so hopefully they will release one so we all can get some points back.

Fares remain lower to MCO from Newark NJ vs. Philadelphia. I first noticed this about 6 months ago. We used to fly out of PHL, now it has been EWR.

We paid $82 each way, which I can live with. There were some Tue & Wed dates for $69, but it doesn't work for our schedule. Thankfully we had enough points to pay for one round trip out of four.

Even though I am not looking for flights until October, I am so disappointed with Southwest. I checked flights in May and there are NO non-stops to Orlando from ANY airport in Michigan>:(! No non-stop from GRR, FNT or DTW...I will have to drive to Chicago to get a non-stop flight now. This sucks! I hope it changes in the fall. I don't get it:confused3...Michiganders travel en masse to Orlando...why no non-stop options?? Only Delta out of Detroit offers a non-stop flight to Orlando now and it isn't cheap.

I looked at flights on Delta, United and American for our dates (Oct 15-20) and I about had a stroke! The prices are in the $350-$700 range! No non-stop options available unless I drive the 3 hours to Detroit. Oh, and these are for flights that land around midnight and depart to come home around 7am...that's NOT happening.

Ugghhh! I can deal with a stop (maybe two...) since this trip is just me and my friend, but I don't want to spend more than $300 on my tickets. Southwest better come through and these fall fares better come down. I would hate to have to cancel my trip simply because the airfare is outrageous.

I know how you feel. Driving over an hour to DTW and parking there is too much money and hassle. I add an additional $32 per ticket on a rebooked flight out of flint. Flint airport is only 17 miles from me, so that made it some what better. Still I didn't get a non-stop but the layover time is not bad. Good luck.

Nonstop MKE to MCO is coming up at 9695 points each way for our dates in May. That's quite a bit higher than what we ended up using around the same time last year.

If I book now using points and the price goes down, will the additional points be refunded to my account? I've never done a re-booking on points before.

Yes! Use the "Change Flight" option. It will walk you through changing your flight. It will refund the points and re-apply the security fee that you applied to the original flight to the new flight. Very easy.

If you booked a round trip, it will display the outbound and the return flight with a checkbox next to each one. If only one flight went down, click the checkbox for the one you want to change and it will let you change just that one flight.

I had sort of forgot Memorial Day. We are cruising out of San Juan and planned on going down Thursday before. I had been looking at prices for every Thursday flight. Planned on spending about 11,000 points or $200 pp going down. You can imagine my shock at seeing the points be 51,700 or $602!!!! Since there are eight of us we now plan on going down Wednesday with normal prices and only spend another $400 total on hotel. Can't do our return yet as that is going to be June 3rd. Go figure.

I just looked at the flights i booked tuesday for $228 RT and they are now $459.70 RT thats crazy. :scared::scared:

My fares aren't too bad. $119 there and $131 back (Indianapolis). I'm going to wait though. Just got the SW credit card so I'm waiting to spend the $1000 to get the 40,000 bonus miles which will cover mine and my son's round trip tickets. Hoping they don't go up too much though. I think they'll go down.

Has anyone else tried to change a flight booked with points after the new release date .....my 5/21 and 5/26 flights each went down 500 points, But it's not letting me make the change online....if I had not purchased EBCI I would just cancel and rebook.

We used to fly out of Detroit (on AirTran) but we would get a hotel the night before our flight and book the "Park n Fly" rate which was only $10 more for the room and it included parking for up to 10 days. Even when I added the $120 for the hotel night and parking, I could still save over $300 (family of 4) and fly non-stop by going to Detroit.

I was so excited when AT/SWA came to Grand Rapids. In 2013, right after they started service, I was able to book 2 R/T flights for DH and I in November (WD 1/2 Marathon) and it was under 19K points TOTAL for both of us! Since then, the non-stop options have all but vanished, and even flights with layovers are running almost $400 R/T. SWA has fallen right in line with Delta, American and United...all of which offer nothing non-stop and prices are typically in the $400-$500 range. At this rate, we won't be able to fly to Orlando anymore. It costs about $1000 for us to drive. I'm willing to pay an extra $200 to fly, simply for the convenience, but $1500-$1600 is just too much to budget for transportation.

Didn't book with points for this past September but it gave me trouble trying to change flights online all the time. I had to call in and the agent was able to help me.

Thanks..I've had to call when I had my husband booked with a companion ticket....but I purposely held off adding him since I was pretty sure the points would go down and figured it's easier to change online.......I did call this morning and they couldn't locate the reservation even though I see it in my rr account, didn't have time to wait on hold so I'll try back later
