Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

Hi everyone,

I am using Touring Plans to see the views from the buildings. When I put in "Magic Kingdom" under view- it lists Tuvalu and Aotearoa. Is that correct for the buildings with a theme park view (without the DVC buildings)?

If you have stayed in these- how is the walk to the main building?
The TTC?

Thanks! We have stayed at CR and my DH wanted to stay at the Poly this time so it is all new to me.

I can't help with your question, but hopefully others will be able to answer. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy your first stay at the Poly :wizard:.

Have a 13 night stay coming up over Christmas and New Year's. Oh man, it is a dream come true to stay at the Polynesian.

Stayed for the first time last May for three nights in a Moorea LV, I seriously gasped every single time I walked in the room, like I had amnesia.:rotfl: It really is something.

How exciting! Hope you have a great time, Disney at Christmas is amazing :santa:.

Can I call to make a specific building request? I know online check-in isn't very specific, so I just picked a balcony. I am in a standard room, and was wondering which buildings are closest to GCH? Thanks.

Yes, you can call and add a building request to your reservation. We like Samoa as it's just steps from both pools, the GCH, Captain Cooks, and the beach :).

I just changed our Poly reservation to Club level, so I assume we will be in Hawaii. Which floor is "best"? Ground level? Thanks!! We arrive Oct 25.

Congrats on upgrading to CL! I don't care for ground floor rooms, so my request would be 2nd or 3rd floor (preferable 3rd with a balcony). Have a great trip :goodvibes.

Had to share in my excitement after reading through the board over the past few months; just had my dvc request accepted and subsequently paid. First stay at the Poly coming this May! :earboy2:

The Poly is amazing, you will love it! Congrats on your DVC request coming through and being PIF :wizard:.

We arrive TOMORROW! :jumping1: Getting in about 11 AM & we have our traditional 'Ohana reservation at 4 PM.

Have a great time! :yay: :yay:

Here's the view from a third floor room towards the east end of the building (this is the side furthest from the CL lounge). The camera is facing a bit to the right, not exactly head on from the room.

Same room, view to the left. Note this was late July when they were installing the rocks on the beach, hence the yellow construction barrier in the water.

This photo is also from Hawaii third floor from October 2015 (so no fence or rocks on the water's edge). This is on the western side of Hawaii, three doors down from the lounge.

So these pictures just made my weekend!!!!!:dancer:Thanks!!

I was tired of waiting for my room so I went to the front desk, and well, I didn't get what I requested (samoa, 3rd floor) but I got what my gut was telling me to change my request to.

Is the Sept 2017 date commencement or completion? And is that all the buildings?? I'm looking forward to our stay but not with construction going on.
Completion. This is general construction so it shouldn't be anything major maybe some new carpeting in areas or some paint in the hallways. Don't expect it to mess with your stay much if at all.

Thank you hopefully we miss it all together. Hate going on vacation and listening to hammering or drills or just general constructiion while paying close to $11K for peace and quiet. Plus the bonus that DD is allergic to dust it's just not something I want to deal with

Checked into my club kevel room tonight, very nice!

Only complaint is that the water in the room is absolutely disgusting Florida skunk water. Not impressed with that... Going to stink like a Floridan for the duration of our trip. :(

My son is wanting to take a box of Lucky Charms cereal. How much does milk usually cost at the store there at the Poly?

Here now and the weather is absolutely perfect. Sitting in the pool area, lounging and watching some pool games in progress.

I think the poly is turning my husband into a disney lover. We've gotten room service for the past three nights. Two of those nights have been the Polynesian twilight feast. My husband thinks its the best deal on property. I'm not going to disagree with him! :thumbsup2 Last Night I was full before we even got to the meats! And I eat a lot of food!

Tonight we have the Halloween party!
