Just off Liberty!!! Mickey who??

Kids pool area:
There was always a crew member at this area checking the kids height for the slides and watching them. I am not sure if they are official " lifeguards." The hot tubs on the right side were very convenient. You could keep an eye on the kids while relaxing.

Thanks so much for sharing! I'm sailing RCCL next summer on one of Liberty's sister ships, Independence of the Seas. I can't wait! It's funny, we are sailing Disney Fantasy in Feb (only 97 days away) yet I can't help myself from reading everything I can about RCCL lately! RCCL is new for us and we are sailing on our 9th Disney cruise in Feb, so I guess it's the whole newness of RCCL. VERY EXCITED! Thanks again for your report! :thanks:

I very much enjoyed reading your report!
Questions about the family panoramic room - Is there only one per ship? How did you find out its availability (online it only lets me put in 4 people, did you call the number they list?) May I ask what the price was for the room for your dates?

We had our first cruise ever this Oct - 3 nights on the Disney Dream. We're excited to try another cruise, but not excited about Disney prices.
Thanks for any additional info you can provide. :-)

Hi there,
Thank you. I believe there are 2 family panoramics onboard that can fit up to 6. With RC, u have to call in the reservation when more than 5 people are booking. I used AAA because of the addtl perks ( 1 free soda pkg, addtl on board credit, 1 bottle champagne, dreamworks breakfast. The breakfast isnt worth the trouble but whatever).
I booked it 12 months in advance. It was $3100 ( or so) for 2 adults, 3 kids, 7 night cruise before tips. We sailed the first week of October.

I love dcl but cant imagine paying those prices for a smaller window ever again.

Thanks so much for your reply! I'll have to give them a call. I'd guess those rooms are gone pretty quick. We'll have to do some advance planning for 2018, as I doubt we'd get one for this summer yet. We have AAA too, so I'll have to check with them - though our local AAA removed their travel section.

Our 3 night Disney Dream cruise was at the end of October and was about the cost you mentioned for your 7 night awesome room!
The RC panoramic window rooms look really nice. I was looking at the regular sized ones, but they only allowed up to 4 per room, and if we get 2 rooms you lose the 3rd, 4th, 5th person discount.

I believe only Liberty, Freedom and Independence has them for now.
There are always cancellations. I wonder if the travel agent could put you on a waitlist?

IOS doesn't have them. Navigator, Voyager and Explorer also have them. AOS was supposed to get them in dry dock. But that was one of the things that couldn't get doen because of Hurricane Matthew.

Thank you. Honestly, we sat looking out those windows and said we would only cruise in panoramic rooms from now on. Just beautiful. We ordered room service coffee and pastries every morning and it was wonderful. How cruising should be.
I can imagine it being breathtaking cruising alaska that way but i was told the ships that do alaska do not offer them.

Explorer is coming to Alaska from Australia this Spring.

We did Liberty in March and loved it. For now, we are done with Disney although we only cruise every other year. Going to Jamaica for an all inclusive trip this March and then the Liberty again next year. Can't wait.

While in Jamaica, have Chris Jamaica Tours take u to Blue Hole. It was quite the adventure. Kids loved it.

Thanks for reminding me about that. We heard about it when we were there 6 years ago, but already had two excursions planned and didn't want to leave the resort more than that.

We did a cruise on Oasis of the Seas in November. A beautiful ship, but maybe a little too big for a couple of older folks. Anyhow, we liked our stateroom, especially the balcony, but on a ship so big I kind of expected the bathroom to be at least a little bigger. Food and service was great, as were the shows. Our major complaint was the terminal at Port Canaveral. It took us two hours to get through the lines. I don't think it was designed for so many people and the walk just to get on the ship was like walking around World Showcase several times. At least in the parks we both use scooters and we did see a lot of them on this ship, but we would need a much bigger stateroom to fit even one of ours. This was our first cruise since 2001 on Majesty of the Seas. We're thinking DCL for the next one, but will see what a price comparison will decide that. We stayed aboard in all three ports on this cruise since we have no interest in sightseeing.

Thanks for this review! We are sailing on LOS in April. We booked March 2016 (13 months in advance) and paid $3100 for 2 adjoining balcony rooms next to the hump - it was the same price as putting all of us in one room so it was a no brainer.

My question is whether you missed the balcony? I love the look of the panoramic rooms but not sure what I would do when I woke up and everyone else was sleeping without a balcony - or just to enjoy a few minutes under the moonlight in the evening. So - did you miss it?
