Does anyone know if two can share a meal at Blue Bayou? like a couple?

You can just flat out share for no additional charge. Or you can pay the split plate fee (maybe around $8?) to have it plated separately with each individual getting their own soup and side.

This is very good info. I remember us trying to share in the past and it seemed as though they would not allow us to "flat out share", it seems like they made us choose the split plate fee. Our two daughters are picky eaters and don't eat much.....our family rule at DL and DW is to split meals so that we do not waste food. Portions are large and if we all order our own meal then there is waste and we don't like that.

Thanks again!

I think it's also a little different if it's kids or adults. Just my two cents but I think at a dining place like BB it would be more appropriate for adults to have the plate split than to just order one meal and eat off one plate. Don't get me wrong, we share food at many places in Disneyland because I agree the portions are large, I just wouldn't do it at a "fine" dining like BB.

Totally agree with you on the appropriateness of this. I think what I way trying to say is that I seem to remember us asking them for an extra plate as we were willing to place one half of a sandwich on the extra plate ourselves, didn't need them to do it in the kitchen, but that is not how they roll. I just told DH about the extra plate fee for splitting the MC and it coming with an extra side and we both agree this is perfect for us! We are a family of four and we normally order three entrees. We LOVE BB but we also love snacking throughout the day and hate wasting food, so this is very good news for us. I don't believe we ate at BB on our last trip which was in 2012, so it has been a few years since we've been there. Cannot wait to return!

Split plate is $12 at BB. My daughter and I split a Monte Cristo on Sunday 9/18. She really likes their bread and Gumbo. We never make it far with the Monte Cristo. Love the waterside view.

We were there for dinner the same day and you are correct the bread was delicious:) ..... I had the chicken and augratin potatoes. Wanted dessert but could eat another bite. The ride went down twice while we were there and it made it very peaceful.
