Free Dining Bounceback Offer....

We're 7 hours away, my wife and I have booked a room for one night at a value. We'll save some money doing it, and we'll have a weekend away from the kids. No parks, just resort hop, ride the monorail, and hang out at Disney springs.

Hopefully it'll be worth it.

Sounds like fun! Enjoy!

We did that once a few years back for a RO discount, we had APs so just made it a 3 day weekend:) We also live 7 hours away:) It worked out well, because the resort we wanted (POFQ) to stay at was not in any other discount but was included on that BB, so we went. Unlike Disneylover 99, FD for our family of 4 is a waste of $$ since we hardly do any TS meals anymore.

We actually prefer counter service to table service as well. POFQ is my favourite moderate, but Pop is my favourite overall resort. We usually get the fd at Pop just for counter service. It saves us a ton! :)

Considering POR is excluded from a lot of the offer, that could be why, but I'll tell you from experience, the bounceback offers ALWAYS go to my husband's email address even though we put mine on file.

It is only my young DD and I so only one email address. I have never received a bounceback (BB) email with over 10 stays in a WDW resort. I have booked a BB the past 5 years though by calling x8844 from our room.

One suggestion is to also inquire if other resorts other than those published are eligible. My experience has been that they advertise only the Deluxe and Moderate resorts in the publication available in the room but so far I have always been able to book FD at a value BB when I asked. Quick Service has been included in the value offers in the past and then I've chosen to upgrade us to the DDP.

We'll be back at Disney in 3 1/2 weeks and we'll see what happens this time. Thankfully will just squeak in if the Sept 9 date is accurate as that would be our arrival date for 2017.

trying to decide whether to take advantage of the one week at the beginning of June. We have always gone in sept but there would be less rain and a better time for us to have vacation time more spread out. Opinions, I just looked it will cost about $800 more for June than Sept?

Book two bouncebacks. That's what I did. One in July and one in August. I'll decide which one to keep once I figure out transportation.

September is value season at the resorts so resorts are generally cheaper. Maybe that's why you see such a difference in price?

One big difference I can think of is the crowd levels will be higher in June than in September. That may play into your decision.

For $800, I'd stay with September. That's a lot for a non-holiday difference.

That is my thought, with that said, that is for 7 people, 10 nights and CDN $'s. I was just wondering whether other people thought it was worth it because I can't guage the difference in months, I can only guage the cost and that it would be further removed from our summer vacation and in a less important time at school.

I had heard that September was a lot busier than in the past so I thought maybe it had evened out?? We have gone every time but one in and around September and always find it busy but were told it was slow, so what do we know.

it's still a lot. Nothing else about your trip changed except the time of the year.

I kind of agree with you. I'm local and the ONLY time I found it NOT busy is in early-mid August. I don't think September is any better crowd wise, but I do think June has better weather. September is really hot/humid here and June is more mild.

We've always gotten a bounceback, but I don't expect an email or a phone call, the sheet is always in the welcome packet. We pull it out and book right away if it fits our dates. This year we are not going on a BB as we were only doing a cruise with Disney...lo and behold we ended up adding in 10 days at the World at the last minute....grrrr.....now I know to just book a BB no matter what and we can always cancel! LOL

just because none of you seemed to receive the emails does not mean they aren't sent. I can verify that I have in fact, received bounceback emails just this past July. So, I encourage people to check their email as well as their rooms.

I wasn't disputing that you got a BB email. When I advised calling the BB number from your hotel phone it was to ensure that everyone staying on property knew there was a quick, accurate and easy way to find out the BB info without checking to see if they possibly got an email or looking through their hotel room to see if current BB info was possibly part of their room packet. Calling is just a no brainer.

I'm so disappointed that the current bounceback offer excludes most of September. If it's not available when the kids are out on fall break, we might take them to Universal and the Blue Man group show for the first time next year and just do a MNSSH party, also for the first time. We might also buy parkhopper tickets for just one day to do a few favorite rides or see Pandora if it's even finished in fall 2017, or we might try another Orlando theme park. I don't want to pay Disney prices for food for a whole week for my family of 4 with just a room discount at a moderate....maybe save $50 a night but pay $150+ for food per day? I'll pass. It looks like Disney has found a great way to boost attendance in the summer next year and reduce it in September--or to send fall 2017 travelers to Universal Studios.

I am in the group of travelers sent to US next September! Already booked a week at Portofino Bay in a club room for less than I could book a discounted standard room at Poly, GF, or CR. Might do a MNSSHP, but staying at US.

Still trying to decide about July at Disney. The last two years I have loved Disney in July, but with the FD bounceback offer (and likely the FD offer to the general public coming at a later date), July crowds may be a lot worse next year.

I'm confused - isn't there usually a free dining offer anyway for most of the times the bounceback offer is listed?

Not necessarily. There a dates on this BB (most notably June, July) that have never been FD times.

We booked a near-identical trip for next year with BB and are saving almost $800. It would have been even more if I hadn't had to book a water view room (standard was sold out at both resorts I was interested in).

These should be the same offers that you will receive when your there in October. These are the same dates and restrictions they have been offering for the last few years. I always make a BB reservation before I leave, it gets you into the system, you then can make changes and add/delete people from the reservation at a later time, but this guarantees you a FD package that might not be available next year if their attendance increases

On the current bounceback - I have read it excludes certain resorts which is normal. But the way it reads it sounds like if you are staying currently at one of those resorts then you aren't eligible to book a bounceback.....not that the resort is excluded from the actual bounceback return stay. Is it how it usually is and the excluded resorts are for the return stay so even if we are staying in an excluded resort this time we can book the bounceback?
