Need Help

re: Drury

Nice breakfast and dinner spread with 3 drinks included at night. Both breakfast and dinner were included.

You and mac have me very intrigued right now. Doing a last minute trip with my son, we have CB booked, but wow.

Do they have a shuttle? (found that answer...YES) If so, is it reliable and useful?

Although giving up early entry would be tough.

Another option other than a suite are the Deluxe Queen rooms at the Hard Rock. They sleep 5 and already have two queens and a pullout sofa - no rollaway needed. We have one booked for May and appreciate the extra space (they are 500 sq ft). It does look like there is availability for Nov 16-20th at $331 / night.

I didn't do the shuttle as I drive down. It's a very nice hotel for not being onsite. I would have stayed onsite but they all were sold out. I think I paid about $90 a night for Drury. I will repeat though, the hotel was immaculate and the staff fantastic!

They have a free shuttle but I think it leaves around 8:30
Call the hotel if that will be a deal breaker for you deciding if this will work for you

You would not be in the parks ahead of the crowds

Shuttle drops you off at end of city walk
Then you have to go thru the metal detectors before you can go thru city walk
City walk could be a 10 minute walk to the gate/park

Think it has two return times

Do check their website for better and current info as my times might be different now

Check out the food offering and 3 free drinks/ alcohol each evening

Breakfast and dinner set up and it is free
Popcorn is made either at 2 or 3 each day, also free

They take military and aaa for room discounts

The outside of the building is nothing like what you see inside

Someday in the future I will stay there! Looks neat. And I was being silly about the shuttle, since I got an amazing rate on rental car.

However, suddenly a bunch of AP rates showed up for my dates (we check in on 8/23!), and after bouncing around (and no doubt thoroughly confusing my credit card company) for a few hours I found (again...one minute's delay took it away an hour prior) an AP rate at RPR, so I snagged that.

I stayed at RPR in 2014 and booked with CheapTickets.com which offered 25% off the SMSM rate. Now they are having an 18% offer. I first booked with just the SMSM rate then cancelled/rebooked for the 20% off offer and then cancelled/rebooked again to get the 25% off rate. I believe I paid about $165/night before taxes for 4 nights in August, 2014.

You may want to check it out if you want to stay onsite for EP. Since the RPR offers a maximum of 5 EP per room, I guess the room with two queen beds should be able to accommodate 5 people with a rollaway bed. For me, EP is a must for August so I am planning to book with CheapTickets again for my upcoming visit next summer. I did buy the park tickets separately from UndercoverTourists.

Hope this helps! Have fun planning!!
