Hi Guys,

Travelling to WDW for the first time in Jan 2017 from Australia. Our 180 day for ADR is coming up and need some help on deciding where to make reservations. We are a family five with 14 & 10 year old boys and 8 year old daughter. Any info recommendations appreciated. Didn't realise how much planning was required!!!!!

For a first trip to disney i think character dinning is a must at least once! Personally of the ones I have done I love Tusker house and Ohana for breakfast and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall for dinner. They both have great food and great character interactions.

Definitely try to get a reservation for be our guest as well, we personally have only done lunch.

In hollywood studios we've ate at all of the restaurants but the brown derby and they all rank the same in our books, but we love the Fantasmic dinning package. You get to sit in a reserved seating area with the best seats.

Other places I love are captains grille, Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona cafe and Boma. Hope this helps!

You all might really like Hoop Deep Doo review... Its,a great fun night, dinner and show! Book tier 1 or 2, not 3...
BOG in MK pre park opening ( Try to book as close to 8 am as possible), it's close to 7DMT and ypu should be able to squeeze in 2 rides before the rope drop crowd as well as hit all the mountains except Space by 9:30 -10:00 am. So worth it!
For Epcot, Via Napoli has good puzza and family budget friendly. Not cheap, but reasonable.
Your kids would probably love Sci Fi in HS, I'm not partial to 50's Prime Time but some folks love it...
AK I would plan a Tusker House breakfast or dinner (depending on if your going early or staying late for the new shows), this, way you meet Mickey and the gang! And absolutely eat at Flame Tree Bar-b-cue for CS lunch. They may open up dining packages for the new RoL show, but that's still up in the air.
These are my choices looking at the ages of your children.
Also an evening at 1900 Park Faire for a night with Cinderella, the prince, and the stepmother and step sisters. They are soooo much fun! And the food is good as well.
Have a blast!
