What's in Orlando?

If I come solo, I want to know a few great places to see!

I'd really like to see a dolphin, and it seems like Disney is the best price (surprisingly) to do that! But if you know any other places that are less than $200 (disney is priced at 200), post it! I don't want to scuba dive with any "fish," they're a weird fear i have ;)

What else do you reccomend? My last trip was in March, and when I go solo, I'm a "go go go" kind of person, and saw most of all the parks and would have liked to do other things. I just don't know what there is!

Give me some ideas! On property and off property. I'm open to almost anything. The more reasonable the better, but if it's worth the money, I'm in! So any and all ideas welcome!

Do you want to "see" a dolphin, or "swim with" a dolphin? If any kind of a dolphin experience is your desire, I would seriously consider adding Discovery Cove or Seaworld (or both.....14 days of admission to Seaworld and Aquatica comes included with your DC admission) to your itinerary.

Do you have a car? That makes a big difference in some of the things I would recommend.

The Orlando Eye, Sea Life Aquarium, and Madame Tussauds at I-Drive 360 are all excellent and a great value at $39 for a multi-attraction pass that includes all three admissions.

Wild Florida (animal park and airboat ride) is a good value and a nice day away from the hectic pace of the Orlando tourist area.....assuming transportation there and back is not an issue.

We enjoyed jet skiing in Clermont through Makaio Watersports. Gorgeous scenery.

We did a dolphin sailing with Dolphin Landings Boat Tours out of St. Petersburg on our most recent trip. Absolutely, positively awesome and well worth the commute to St. Pete's beach.

You could do the monster truck ride through the orange grove at Showcase of Citrus.

Gatorland is worth a visit.

I will likely drive down, so i'll have a car! :-) If I don't drive, i'll fly and probably rent one. Thanks for all the suggestions!!!

The dolphin viewing at Seaworld is awesome. If Dolphins swim up and lay on the edge of their pool during encounter times, the people standing by the pool and touch them. The underwater viewing is also amazing. Towards the end of the day, the employees will use toys like hula hoops to entertain them from the underwater viewing area. One has figured out how to blow water rings using their blow hole then they push them along, cutting them with their nose to make is smaller and smaller. It is absolutely amazing to witness.

Their new penguin exhibit is really great. An annual pass is cheap compared to Disney and the animals make it a different experience every time.

Besides the parks, we love Harry P Leu gardens, the Tiffany Museum and dinner at 4Rivers BBQ in Winter Park, dining and strolling in Celebration (have the 1905 salad and half Cuban lunch at the Columbia).

We love to visit the resorts, grabbing a snack at each one and riding the boats around. Disney Springs just keeps getting better. We stayed until 1am listening to the great Celtic band in Raglan Road.

Orlando is a great place to visit due to abundance of activities to fit everyones interest. A great adventure which could be easily missed is a hot air balloon ride just outside the Disney entrance. Capt. Jeff Thompson has been flying hot air balloons for more than 30 years without a single injury. Flights begin around 6 am when the winds are the calmest and last approximately an hour.
