Photopass Superthread!

That really sounds frustrating. Have you tried using different browsers?

yup. Chrome, Firefox, and IE.

I use a Mac Computer, and the Total Download took a while. Actually, I thought I had given up on the first one I tried, but when I tried the 2nd time, I realize that my photos loaded twice. There they were in my Download file, in nice neat folders. All I had to do was put them on my computer. I was glad to have the doubles. I do a lot of photo sharing, and projects on my computer, so it worked out great.

My large batch download appears to work...it takes a long time which makes sense but then I get an error when I attempt to open the folder. Oh well, found a work-around that works for me. I just wish I could put a date in to look at ONE DAY at a time.

I love how the Photopass Site sorts everything out. Not only by park, but my days, and locations as well. I used to be a PC person, and never thought I'd learn the way to do things on my Mac, but now after may years with a Mac, I wish I would have made the switch earlier.

Persistence. That's the key, and the Memory Maker download is good for a good amount of time.

I asked 4 photographers about the animated magic shots and they didn't really know what I was talking about. I asked a 5th photographer and he said the animation would be automatically added by Florida if there is enough room on the photo. I also asked at Blue Sky Cellar and was told to try the 60th anniversary photo spots first as the animation would definitely be there.

I emailed my disappointment too - I told them I understood the one day purchase but it'd be nice for them to bring back a longer option and the borders - and got the canned response. Then I got another real answer from a person who said they'd pass it along. I think with all the people emailing them we might have some chance.
I am so disappointed in this change, I will definitely be emailing my feelings !

Are you going to the new Disneyland site or the site for Walt Disney World? They sound like they are two very different sites with very different abilities. Why on earth they are two different sites and not the same is beyond me.

I'm on the DL site, the new area for PP photos.

Just a follow up in case anyone is wondering... Last Saturday the photographer at Blue Sky Cellar suggested that I email PhotoPass guest support to ask about the animated magic shots. The reply was that there is no animated magic available in California. I spoke with another CM at Blue Sky Cellar today who said the animated magic is only available with the $39 per day PhotoPass option. He said they are attempting to see if it would be feasible to keep up with the animated magic and if so they would become available to APs.

Resurrecting this to see if anybody's tried to redeem lately the old PP+ prepurchase that they stopped offering a while back. I got one but am not going for a couple months still.

Yes I did about 2 weeks ago.

I couldn't remove the watermarks myself or have them available to download without emailing a help desk. When I took my voucher to the camera shop on Main street the young CM knew about the old PP+ and gave me a card with contact info as well as a reference number to help download my images when I got home. A few CM's recognized the old PP+ card but some CMs flat out said no when I asked if they could add my, for example, ToT pic to the card. It took some gentle prodding/reminding that this was the old PP system.

This was the email address I was told to use: 'DisneyPhotoPass_support@disneyworld.com'

and the response to my email:

Thank you for your recent visit to Disneyland.com/PhotoPass.

We have successfully added your Disney PhotoPass+ promotional code to your account and your photos are now available for download. To download, take these steps:

• Ensure you are signed in to your Disneyland.com/PhotoPass Account

• Locate the photo you wish to download

• The image will appear larger, revealing a green download button and a Facebook option

• Select the green download button

• Your Download should begin momentarily

Many computers automatically save downloaded files to your computer's "Downloads" folder. Some computer systems will request that you designate where to save your photographs. Be sure to take note where you are saving the files.

Thank you for using Disney Photo Imaging! We hope you enjoy your photos!

I had some trouble with Firefox and the download folder but all worked out in the end. HTH!

Thanks for this! I too have the old PP+ pre-purchase voucher that I plan to exchange on the 18th July. I was wondering the same thing and am happy to hear some recent experience in redeeming the voucher. Cheers : )

We just returned from a great Disneyland trip. I am trying to link all my photopass cards that we collected from my computer. All but one card has been linked but when I try to link the card with most of our pictures on it, I get a message that says the pictures aren't ready and check back later. Has this happened to others? My most recent photos from yesterday did load from a card with just a few photos. Thought the delay might be because of so many pictures on one card. Does this sound right?

Just so I'm clear, since this is our first trip to DL...I can wait until we've come home, look through all our photos, and THEN buy a 1-day Photopass and link it to the specific day we want to purchase?

Exactly! We were there end of May. I didn't end up using photo pass a lot like I normally would at DW. I did look at them after we got home but decided not to purchase any days.

I'm trying to figure out this whole new PP thing for DL. I understand it's changed, but I can't figure out the pricing or how it works. One day is $149? I'm on their website and don't understand either. Help! We're tentatively planning February 2017!

It's $39/day.

And it acts like a regular PP+ did then? I can just download all my pictures when I get home? Why can't I find that on the website? I just see $169, $14.95, and $149?

Yes, it acts like regular PP+. You can decide to purchase when you get home if you want.

Is there a chance you're looking at info on the WDW version called Memory Maker?

So hang on - I have to purchase the photos after the $39 per day? I don't mind paying the $39, but then I don't get to just download all the pictures? I'm still confused!

I am on the Disneyland website, but I think it redirects to WDW!!!

No, the $39/day gives you downloads of all your photos for that day.

I don't know why it would redirect you to the WDW site. They are completely different programs.

At DLR, there are only 3 ways to get Photopass shots:

1) $39/day
2) "free" with the correct level AP
3) by the photo (somewhere around $15/shot)

Also note that you cannot add borders or stickers from the app or website like you can on the WDW side of things and like you used to be able to do on the DLR side of things.
