Sleeping Beauty Castle - Disneyland is surrounded by by pink roses during the spring and summer of the Disneyland 60th. Standing only 77 feet tall, and physically the smallest castle, it is truly the most important. It is THE one, the original. Every other Disneyland park owes everything to this park and this castle.

The attention to detail and the maintenance and care of everything always just amazes me. Its one of the most important things to me about Disneyland. Its all apart of the escape from the real world that I think we all like about the park and something Walt wanted.
“What this country really needs is an amusement park that families can take their children to. They’ve gotten so honky tonk with a lot of questionable characters running around, and they’re not to safe. They’re not well kept. I want to have a place that’s as clean as anything could ever be, and all the people in it are first-class citizens, and treated like guests.” - Walt Disney (http://www.justdisney.com/walt_disney/biography/w_disneyland.html)
I’ve had the good fortune to get to ride in the Lille Belle, a full circle of the park, and recently got the chance to once again step into the car for a short while, now that it is on display at Main Street Station. Both times the CM’s were concerned, and rightly so, about the carpet and the fabrics used inside the car, most of them being original.
