for 5/7-5/11 would you pick candy cane inn, grand legacy at the park or ramada plaza? All 3 are similarly priced.

Or for 200 more I could book park vue inn. which would you pick?

My vote is for the grand legacy. It is the closest and they have recently renovated many of the common areas. We had a great stay there last time.

I've never stayed at the Grand Legacy or the Ramada Plaza but we did stay at the Candy Cane Inn earlier this year and it was awful. Any place beats it in my opinion. I'd probably give the Ramada a try out of those three.

Can an I ask what was so terrible about the candy cane inn? Because it seems to get great reviews everywhere.

We stayed at Candy Cane Inn 3 years ago and are staying there again in June. It was very clean, very close, free breakfast and the grounds are beautiful. We are DVC owners and stay at really nice Disney hotels in Florida so we are used to nice hotels and the Candy Cane Inn doesn't compare to any of those hotels it was still a nice place to stay. I would recommend the Candy Cane Inn to anyone.

I've only stayed at the CCI out of the three and while I haven't been back (its rates are usually quite a bit higher than I get at Tropicana or Desert Inn and Suites), I really liked it! Free breakfast, the shuttle is nice, rooms are clean, and the service was always exceptional.

My BIL has stayed at the CCI twice before and is going back to DLR this August and has booked CCI again.

He likes how close it is to the parks and how clean the rooms and grounds are.

Another vote for the Candy Cane Inn. Clean rooms, great staff and customer service, free breakfast, private shuttle that runs on time. Premium rooms are great if the budget allows.

I've also heard good things about the Grand Legacy.

Well I booked candy cane inn. We're pop century people at wdw so it's not like I'm used to luxury hotels one Disney vacations. I'm sure it will be fine. The breakfast looks like everything my child loves to eat- pastries, bagels and yogurt!

I got annoyed with the 12 dollars plus 17% tax parking fee for the grand legacy or that might have won.

Thanks everyone! Just over a week to go!

I haven't stayed at Candy Cane myself but my sister and my mom have and they recommended it to me. My sister can also be picky and previously choose to stay father away in nicer hotels. If it will work for her it can't be bad at all. both appreciated the free continental breakfast which doesn't matter to me since I have food sensitivities that require me to bring up all my own food anyway.

I usually stay at the Tropicana Or the Desert Inn, both of which I like (I don't like tropicanas valet service though).

The parkvue is the closest off site hotel period so it tends to run a bit more but it's only closer than several other by a handful of steps. Unless you think it's worth 200 to be a bit closer I would pick one of the others and spend my money in the park.
