When can we book flights?

So after some deliberating, we have booked a 4 night Bahamian cruise on the Wonder which departs 02/04/17!!:tigger::stitch::donald: We are then planning to stay in Orlando for as long as we can during the Easter holidays (I am a teacher) and return before term starts depending on flight prices. Our outbound flight however must depart on 01/04/17. We realise that this will really limit us and is likely to be very costly but we don't have any choice. Does anyone know when we will be able to book this flight please? Will all airlines release flights on the same day? We will be two adults and would prefer direct but will fly indirect or to Tampa even if the price is hugely better. Thanks.

Flights are usually released 11 months out from return date

If you want to book your outbound as soon as it's released you may do so in a couple of weeks, but consider that one ways are significantly more expensive than return flights

Buying a return ticket one your inbound flight is released will not make a difference, and will probably be cheaper than byuing your outbound separately from your inbound

Flights should already be out there now as I was browsing for xmas and saw flights. However, you should be aware some might be way high since they have no way to know what demand will be. But I am like you and would like to get an idea sooner than later what flights and times are. Good luck!

You can usually book flights 365 days in advance although with some airlines its 11 months.

Actually it's the other way around.

Flights for scheduled airlines are released 330 days out. Some airlines/TAs release theirs before, but that's not the norm.

BA release their flights 365 days in advance with Aer Lingus it's 330, we don't fly with Virgin so I can't comment on them.
Any flights shown by TA's in advance of an airlines normal booking window are not confirmed & should be viewed as "best guess" only, if we are being really pedantic about this, the airlines can change & or cancel flights right up until they are in the air.
I used to spend half of my life in planes so have first hand experience of this.

Right now, BA go up to 5th Feb, so we are looking at 353 days :)

Virgin is 11 Months to the day

also have a look at thomas cook airlines i found a great deal on there and they release mega early

They have some good deals, but don't fly all year round and not from all Airports during the time they are flying :)
