Whats the longest You've waited for an attraction?

2.5 hours for Splash Mountain in the middle of the afternoon on a hot summer July day pre-original fastpass. We knew the wait time going into the line, but my brother begged and begged to go on it (and if you have met my brother you know he is the most easy going guy ever and hardly ever puts in requests). The wait was sweltering, but my then-teenaged brother never complained and we had a great time playing line games. Oh the good ole days.

Longest by far was on our family vacation to Disneyland when I was a kid. We had been in line for Space Mountain for about an hour and a half. As we got within a few parties of boarding, something happened and they shut the ride down. We waited about another 30 minutes before they sent us all away and told us it would be closed for the rest of the day. :( We didn't get to ride it at all, as we left the next morning to return home.

I remember a long wait for Maelstrom of all things on our last trip. We ended up waiting about 35 minutes. There were 18 of us, so we decided to make the best of it and just enjoy the time together. There weren't many times on that trip that our whole group was together, or many rides we could all ride due to the vast age differences, so it was worth it to be together.

Beyond those, I'm not sure if we've waited more than 30 minutes for anything on any of our trips, even during the busiest of times.

When I was a kid, my relatives from Germany would visit in the summer and we would go to Disney, this was the pre-FP days, and I just remember all of the lines taking forever. Space Mountain and Body wars were the two that stick in my memory most. We were in line for space mountain I think half my childhood. (Probably 90 minutes, but when you're 10, it might as well be half your childhood.)

We waited around 2 hours for it when it first opened. My DS7 wanted to ride it so bad so we waited in the hot sun for it. Afterward, we went through the rest of the park, and about 30 minutes before park close, we asked if there was anything he wanted to do again; he said Splash. We groaned but said ok and when we got there it was a walk on lol.

Our first experience with Kali - standby said it was a 45 minute wait. After 1.5 hrs we were at the last door before riding when they shut down the ride. That is my first and worst case of Disney rage. I was livid.

Longest wait for a character was for Baymax. We waited a good hour for that. We knew it would be a long wait but DD wanted a pic real bad.

Having been to WDW 15+ times I won't get in a line if it says more than 30 minutes wait.

I grew up near Disneyland in the 80's so I was there for the opening of Star Tours and Splash Mountain. I remember waiting in long lines - probably over 2 hours. I know Splash broke down in the middle of our wait and we had to wait for it to come back up. I also remember waiting a long time for Indiana Jones and Rocket Rods (RIP) as a teenager. Now with E-Ticket and frequent visits I rarely wait over 30 minutes for anything. Even my kids know that if there's a long line we'll do it next time.

When we're at WDW I take the same attitude, but if there's something I really want to do and there's no way to get a FP or get there at Rope Drop I might wait awhile, but still never over 45 minutes. There's always something else to do!

I think the longest we waited for ANYTHING (and as you can see by my original post we are very patient people) was for US Men in Black the week it opened. Will Smith was there but I think the crowds would have been long anyway. We got the pass for the 2 hour early admittance and the wait for MIB was 2 hours. We knew we could go through all the other rides and have them done, but we chose to wait for MIB and use up our whole early perk. We were the next to board when it broke down. We waited around 30 minutes and I left them there in line to go see if I could find out what was going on and what their plans were. I found someone out front who was telling people what they were going to do, and when I went back with the info to inform our group they had cleared the ride. At this point the gates were open and I could not find my party. By this time we had been in the park for 3 hours, was told the new wait time for MIB was 4 hours, had not been able to ride anything else, and I had lost my party. I was so mad I went to Guest Services and told them my whole story, but most of all I wanted them to reunite me with my party. Security and I started off and ran into my party heading towards GS. They also gave me a hand written skip the MIB line for any time. Still, not a good experience since by then we had been in the park over 4 hours and had done nothing.

We waited over an hour for TSMM once. It started to rain so we ducked in the queue to avoid getting soaked. It was a looooong wait and not really worth it IMO - I'm sure the temporary stop due to dropped glasses right before our turn didn't help. But, it did keep us dry and I *think* it had stopped raining by the time we were out in the World again.

I think about 45 minutes for SDMT last december, but it may have ended up being 35. It was sans kids, so it didn't feel long at all. But waiting 30 minutes for buzz with cranky twins--that felt like a life time.

I waited almost 2 hours for Soarin' the first time I went on it. That is BY FAR the longest I have ever waited!

I want to say 60+ minutes for Soarin' at some point. This was pre FP+, now the longest I've waited is 30 min (And that was for a meet and greet with no FP+, for attractions it's closer to 20 min)

40 minutes. Normally I won't wait in lines that are over 30 but these times were special.
1st time was my very first trip ever so we didn't know about fastpass+ (I actually think they may have still been in testing mode) and I wanted to ride Pirates of the Caribbean. We arrived at 4pm in mid december, I assumed all waits were going to be that long :p (thankfully the christmas party emptied everyone out)
2nd time was on our second trip. We had 1hr to kill before they opened the doors for Fantasmic so we decided to jump in the 40min line for Rock n Roller Coaster.
3rd time was our most recent trip. We had ZERO plans or fastpasses made for our first day because we hadn't decided to add a day to our tickets and go to the park until a few hours before. So when we got there we just picked the shortest line, Great Movie Ride at 40min. Honestly we just needed to waste time until the Osborne lights came on.

The longest I've ever waited for anything was 30 minutes for a Dole Whip during spring break!! No FP+ for that "attraction"!

Other than that, I waited about 30 minutes last August for BTMRR and 30 minutes for PP. I wanted to see the interactive queues. For us, it's FP+ or get in a line that's 30 minutes or less. Otherwise we don't ride. Some day I'd like to do the interactive queue for 7DMT, but I don't see us doing that anytime soon!

The longest I have EVER waited was at Universal Studios. I waited 4 hours to ride Gringotts a week after it opened. I was at a Harry Potter convention so there was just no way we were skipping it.

My longest Disney wait was 90 minutes over the summer for TSMM. I would have never done it in a million years alone, but I was a CM and my friends who were visiting were desperate to ride it. So I gave in.

1 1/2 hours back in 1998 to ride the Tower of Terror at Christmas. But I was a teenager on my Senior Band Trip. We sang in line the whole time. So I'm sure the people around us felt like it was more like 3 hours. Sorry to any of you who were subjected to it. We were dumb teenagers at Disney World by ourselves.

The first time I rode Splash Mountain it was a 45 minute wait. It was a chorus trip and frankly I was only going on because of peer pressure. I was TERRIFIED out of my wits to the point of wanting to cry and the only way my friends could convince me to not leave the line was by singing our Disney medley the whole time! Now I feel guilty thinking about it..

At WDW, probably ~45 minutes, maybe longer, for POTC in summer 2014. The ride kept breaking down. This was the FP+ line too:sad2: However, this is probably an outlier.

At Universal, probably Forbidden Journey during early entry. Again, the ride was broken. After 45 minutes or so, we decided to leave. While DH got our stuff out of the locker, I realized it was up and running. I asked a CM about it and told her we had just left. She then ushered us through the castle tour line, pretty much up to the front. It was really nice. Some people behind made a snotty comment to us that they had been waiting too. I asked them if they had been the first ones at the turnstile that morning, we were, and the guy shut up pretty quick:rolleyes: We had gotten to the turnstile while it was still dark. In fact, City Walk hadn't opened yet when we left the room, and they held us back for a bit. So, we had really been waiting a significant amount of time.

Our longest waits were Indiana Jones and Radiator Springs in DLR last summer. The single rider lines were well over an hour on each. Our touring plans from TP were an epic fail. We know WDW much better, and never wait more than 30-40 minutes in standby. When you know a park well, it's easier to avoid the lines.

DLR can be brutal. I don't know if this is a fail for TP or Disney. When we went in summer 2013, we had a TP plan too. It said to get in the RSR FP line at rope drop. We decided to ride Soarin' first. We waited in the RSR FP line for about an hour. When we finally hit our FP window around 2pm, we then waited over an hour to ride.:sad2: This is really ridiculous and shows very poor management of the FP system for that ride. Generally, we felt the TP DLR plans were really good. We finished everything ahead of time, even with the horrific RSR waits. All of the other waits were not too bad. TSMM wasn't great though.

Six years and counting. I pulled a FP for EE in 2009 and still haven't ridden it. That was the trip where I missed my must-do attraction at all four parks -- EE (for an ill-advised ADR at T-Rex), RnR (ran out of time with all the kids shows), TT (broke down right after we got to the loading area), SpcMtn (down for the major refurb). I think I deserve some sort of medal.

More to the point, I just don't get in lines at WDW if they're more than 40 minutes since the only time I've been without FP was Labor Day week in 1996 (ahhhh... that was nice). I've had hour plus waits for rides at US and Sea World. Got in and out of line for Journey to Atlantis in June 2001 because it broke down twice. It was me and my 9 yo nephew. Total wait time (in and out of line) was probably 90 minutes.
