AKV or OKW- need easy access to Orange County Convention Center

I can either get a one bedroom at AKV or OKW. We are staying in June and attending a volleyball tournament at Orange County Convention Center. Which one would have easier access to this area?

OKW positives are larger rooms with our vehicle right outside the door but only one bathroom.

AKV does have two bathrooms which would be very nice with a family of 5. Not sure about the parking situation there.

Trying to pick the most convenient resort to get back and forth as quickly as possible.

To get to OCCV, you need to hit I4 anyway, so I don't think one is any more convenient than the other. Neither is particularly close.

Parking is generally close at Kidani and can be close, or a bit of a walk. Depends on how many people park.

1-bedrooms in Jambo House have only 1 bath, while those in Kidani Village have 2. Most parking at Kidani Village is ground level under the building (1st floor).

Time wise, AKV will probably add maybe 5 minutes to the commute. Your looking at 20 to 25 minutes from either resort (with no traffic).

I think OKW is a little easier, esp getting back and a little closer/quicker but not that much. There are easy parking areas on both sides of the convention center but they're not supper obvious, esp the on on the west side of the main center which is usually the best place to park.

You can take I-Drive to the OCCC. If you are at OKW, you can hop over to Epcot Center Drive which becomes World Center Drive and then turn on I-Drive before you head to the airport. Then take I-Drive over to OCCC.

A few years ago, I stayed at the Rosen Centre Resort and drove over to WDW every night. This was the way I went. The Rosen Centre is right next to OCCC.

Yes, it's even easier going back because the exit off EPCOT Center Dr. turns right directly onto DVC way (you can't turn east leaving DVC way, have to go over to BV Dr.). However, the easier/quicker way to do is to get out of OKW the same way then take I 4 to 528 and go north on I drive which is right due to the exit pattern. The CC is right there. From AKV just take Osceola to I-4.

Thanks everyone! Was not expecting 30 minutes! Yikes!

I think I will switch to OKW. Having my car right outside the door seems a little easier!
