How did everyone do?

Friday:

Nothing, DH went a hockey game (tickets and a parking pass were given as a gift) with a buddy. I stayed home and did some extra work from home. I also had a coupon for a free (no purchase needed) any size coffee at McDonalds so I redeemed that before work.

Saturday:

$65 at Target for some essentials, used coupons and Cartwheel
$50 at Petco for dog food (Blue Buffalo is the only thing he can eat without breaking out into hives, poor dog!)

Sunday/today:

$25 at Nordstrom Rack for a birthday gift for my niece.

$45 for gas (my new car has to have midgrade or higher, UGH)

$.89 for a bottle of water before my workout class because I forgot my Contigo bottle (oops)

Total:

$185.89 Not horrible . Especially since the Target run consisted of stuff that will last us a few months, so will the dog food and my new car is really good on gas so I'm good for about 3 weeks.

Friday No money spent
Saturday 5.89 bread and milk
Sunday 10.59 for meat and 9.59 for doughnuts
Spent less than $26

Friday zero. DD was home sick. DH and I shared a chicken pot pie that I bought Thursday.

Sat DH, DS and I nothing. DD went and took ACT got lunch at her cost Panda Express and came back home to die. Had left over pizza for lunch and made Italian beef for Sunday game time, so stole some for supper. Watch dvd we owned. Oh yeah I cleaned and decluttered a couple places, every woman's dream.

Sunday nothing again. In AM finished staining some wood (I started Saturday), sanded some wood prepping it for finishing coat. DD got to fix area in the landscaping where her dog dug, we all helped. I balanced check book and savings books. Met with financial advisor on Thursday and he of course wants me to increase Roth to $6500. So I am deciding what to do. I also contribute at work to get the match. And I need a tiny tiny amount for food - I swear he wants it all !

Then game time.

Oops I lied I forgot Saturday I bought for our 2017 trip two 3 day hoppers, before the price increase. I used disney rewards and a gift card. I spent $47 and some change on visa.

Well, I do my grocery shopping on Sunday and Saturday was the annual appreciation dinner at my husband's work (we get a hotel room at the venue) so not very budget friendly at all. However, these are in my actual annual budget I keep on Quicken and print reports out monthly.

In between good and bad.....
Bought a couple cheap movies on Amazon on Friday.
Visited Sam's Club (the $100 store) on Saturday morning.
We actually ate out at restaurant on Saturday (don't do that much) but we did have a gift card that paid about half.
And I made an expensive dish for dinner on Sunday (extra grocery stop just for that) but it will also be lunch for all of us today too.
The rest of our meals were from the pantry/fridge so we didn't spend extra on them.
Normally, we really don't spend much on weekends.

Hubby going out town for short business trip tonight so I had to get all my groceries yesterday before the big game. Between Costco and our regular store, I spent about $300 but it was for meals planned out for the next 2 weeks.

I always cringe when we have to restock so many things but we tend to then have enough food and backup freezer supplies until the next month.

It was a spendy weekend but most of the spending was from Christmas.
Friday dh and ds went to see the Globetrotters. The tickets were a Christmas gift, but there were charges to park, exchange our money, and to cross the border. So about $15.
Saturday Dh and ds took his dad out for wings and to a hockey game. The tickets were another Christmas gift, and dinner was mostly covered by a Christmas gift. So it was just $10 out of pocket.
We do all of our groceries on Saturdays and that was $116.46

So only about $142 for the weekend. Not bad at all considering how much we got to do. Our groceries alone usually cost more than that but I was very very careful about meal planning and using what we have. We have a Disney trip coming up and I'm shaving the budget wherever I can.

Friday - bar. Dropped about $35?

Saturday - shopping, out to bar/lunch with friends - about $250 total

Saturday night - picked up pizza and beer for poker party - about $75

Sunday - bought food for Superbowl party - about $75.

Not a budget weekend, at all. Not a good one for my liver, either... $435.

Horrible weekend. Friday came home after spending a week and a half with my dad, so DH brought home subs for dinner.

Had breakfast at home, and don't remember lunch. Went shopping with DH and DD to buy clothes for them to wear to a funeral this week. DH bought a suit with everything, shirt, tie, belt and DD bought a new dress. I made her pay for the other dress she wanted and the 2 pair of boots, I did buy the tights. We went out of pizza afterwards.

Had breakfast at home and then had mexican carry-out for lunch and leftover pizza for dinner.

DH did save lots on his suit with discounts but it was still pricey. DDs dress was on sale for not very much. I still haven't made it to the grocery store so unless I can find food, another eat out night.

Friday - $25.00 for gas
Saturday - $63.00 for birthday gift card, dog food, snacks for Super Bowl, hair color, etc - $8.00 at Bath & Body Works
Sunday - $0

Less than $100 for the weekend

Friday:
lunch with DW $26
Saturday:
Donuts $10
kids bowling league $14
2 sodas $3
Prescriptions $11
Daddy/Daughter dance $40
Sunday:
didn't leave house $0

Friday - I had dinner out, but it was paid for by work. DH and the kids went out to eat and spent $22.
Saturday - no eating out, spent $12.63 on seeds, a tray, and some soil for starting plants for my garden this week. Kids wanted to go out for ice cream, but instead we went to the store and spent ~$12 on enough ice cream/toppings to make 15 servings of ice cream sundaes (which will last us a couple of months). Would have been about $18 for us all to go out for ice cream.
Sunday - no spending at all. Cooked at home all 3 meals.

So $46 for the weekend, which is pretty good!

Kids and I passed around the stomach flu and didn't leave the house. and DH went to work every day.

Cost? $0 (and no food eaten by 3 of us for a couple of days.....)

Horrible... we decided to smoke a pork butt and were out of pellets for the Traeger, which meant a trip to Cash & Carry - never a cheap venture since there is always something else we "need" there. The price on meat can't be beat. Even though we already had the roast I ended up grabbing 2 lbs of prawns to make shrimp n' grits with tomorrow for mardi gras and we nabbed a few more things. Sumo satsumas are also still in season so of course we HAD to go get another six or so of those for my husband at the fancy pants grocery store while we were out... at $3.99 a pound! I know they are his favorite but I am still glad their season is so short...! :rotfl2:

Friday $18 at fish cove for fish, clams, and tip, made sides at home. $8 to see the good dino with my daughter at the cheap theater, $9 for popcorn and water. Saturday $13.88 to pick up at wegmans what my husband forgot at the grocery, and Sunday $0 because I was sick as a dog and couldn't crawl to the computer to on line shop!
