Woo hoo!! We LOVE our good coffee in the mornings and a nice decaf at points throughout the day. And the cone coffee makers make better coffee than the flat bottom. We get like 400 filters for $4.00 at Costco so I will just bring a stack with me.

And of course a bag of Starbucks to brew in the mornings.

But I am glad to hear they have actual outlets on property too! Sometimes we want just one cup or a decaf and it will be great to be able to grab that when we want!

Can't WAIT for my vacation.............. :banana:

If using a taxi to the parks, do they drop you off at the entrance?

We've always stayed on-site (well except for once when my kids were young - about a gazillion years ago.... Now we take the grandkids - and they don't know how spoiled they are! lol!).

Just returned this evening from WBC abd it was amazing!!! Loved the whole experience. The only thing different we would do next time is to schedule some free days to really enjoy the resort.

Coffee filters are coned shape and they give you about 6.

We were in a 3 bedroom deluxe in building 4, room 1163 and had perfect firework view. Will definetly stay in that room again.

Booked through vacation stradegy and everything was amazing and went smoothly. We arrived at 1:15 for 4:00 check in and they called us an hour later that our room was ready.

We drove to the parks each day as it was easier to come and go. We had a group of 8.

Walmart is not far from WBC and they sell TONS of Disney stuff at a great price. Perfect for tee shirts, pins, autograph books, etc. Much cheaper than in the parks.

They supply dish soap, 4 or 5 laundry packs, paper towels, garbage bags, sponge, dishwasher soap 4 or 5. In the lobby store they sell additional packs for $.50 well worth it.

Pools with slides, kids have to be 48" and must be able to swim. Pools, lazy rivers and hot tubs were great. The pools closed at midnight, so late night hot tub soaks were relaxing.

What a wonderful thread. We are most likely staying here for 15nights from the 24th November. With 2 teenagers we thought extra space and a bed for all would be a good move. Plus just 2 of us are early risers. Thanks so much for all the wonderful tips.

We are strongly considering a condo here or at Windsor Hills for our next WDW trip; but I am really starting to lean towards Bonnet Creek because of the location and the fact that there are ways to get a great deal to stay here. On our way to DTD, the bus passed by Bonnet Creek and we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that it really is (unofficially) on Disney property! Commuting from here to the parks will be a breeze! It will also be really nice to have my own washer and dryer to throw in a load of laundry when needed and not having a week's worth of dirty laundry for six people to do when we get back home :faint:

We probably won't use the kitchen a lot, but it will definitely come in handy for morning breakfasts and for when I need to throw together a quick, easy homemade dinner on evenings when we don't feel like eating at a restaurant.

Have you considered keeping the rental for the duration of the trip? It is so easy to get to all 4 parks from WBC! The buses run on a schedule, so if you miss it, you are waiting at least 30 minutes (if not longer in the middle of the day) for another bus. We found parking at the parks and taking the tram (if necessary, we were usually parked close enough to walk) to be no less convenient than taking the WBC shuttle since they drop you off much further away than the Disney buses do. Just a suggestion. :goodvibes

still looking for tips! With reports of damaged furniture in some units I'm a little worried. I'm thinking about just requesting water view with a room with new furnishings.

Just reading some today and I saw this post from Nancy155. She had called about renting a cabana at WBC.

She was told yes she could reserve one and it would be $50 for use from 9am until 10pm!

That's something that may be helpful to others. :beach:

Yes I reserved it for July 29th and I called two days ago to make the request. They took my name and said all I had to do was go to the activities desk at either building (6 or the main bldg) to pick up the reservation as it would be there waiting for me and billed to my credit card on file with the resort!

Of course if you are going to MK, get dropped off at a monorail resort and it's no more time-consuming than the TTC :goodvibes

And for Epcot, get dropped off at Beach Club to go into the World Showcase (bit of a walk, but not bad)... or drop off at BW and enjoy a walk on the Board Walk (and the entertainment in the afternoon).

I believe HS has a boat from BC/BW etc

You can walk to Epcot from the Swalphin too.

We've just started tentatively planning a trip for about this time next year. WBC is at the top of my places to stay list based on the great things I've read about it here.

Question about the shuttles: Do they run every 30 minutes or every hour (I've read both)? How long does it take to get to the parks or back from the parks? What time do they start running in the morning and when do they stop at night?

We'll have a car but there might be as many as six of us going and the shuttle gives us the option of not having to all leave the parks if some of us want to take a mid-day break but the others don't.

Greg, on page 124, post 1860 of the "We looooove Bonnet Creek, Part 2" thread, there are pictures of the shuttle schedule from our February trip. It seems to be a pretty basic schedule that they run all the time, and you can see that additional buses are scheduled for the busy periods (like the week after we were there, which was school vacation week). There was another schedule posted more recently, but I can't remember where it is. It was virtually identical to this one, though, so I think you could pretty much rely on it.

My in-laws were at BC last week and SIL texted my wife saying that they do not allow strollers on the shuttles to the parks. I thought that I had read somewhere that they do allow strollers on the shuttles, so now I'm confused. Can anyone confirm that they do allow shuttles to be brought on the shuttles to the parks? Seems pretty odd that they would not allow strollers to be brought on the shuttles.

I'm here now. Biggest complaint is the calls about attending the sales pitch. The first 3 times I said no should have been enough. It would have been this crazy thermostat that they have were you always walked into hot room every day but thanks to suggestion I found here on overriding it (hold c/f bottom on left side in until 69(BP) shows up, have to do this once every 24 hours) I have no issues with AC.

Other than above, love this place. Very convenient to everything Disney.

Where does the shuttle drop off/pick up? Is there a schedule? We rented a car, but if I can save the $20 a day on parking, I might just use them. We check in tomorrow at WBC! Rented through RCI points. Will they still try to make me so the sales pitch?

I find the freedom of having my car at the park out weighs the fee. WBC shuttle is expensive & needs to be booked in advance. If you plan to come back for a mid day break then you are saving money driving your own car. WBC charges for each round trip - makes a mid day break an expensive choice. Shuttle drops off at TTC - parking lot on the right side of the building - Polynesian resort is on the left. At Epcot it is to the far right side of the entrance to the park. Disney resorts have the close in spots. You will be dropped farther out.
By the way at Epcot the Disney buses & monorail all feed into the security check on the right. If you drive be sure and go to the left entrance - much faster.
