Good to know. We didn't do Universal last year so the only thing I knew about the sale were reading about what was offered last year.Didn't the sale last year have very few rooms and caused a lot of disappointment?
I'm not sure but when we've had rooms booked in the past, we would get PIN codes that stated they could not be used on already booked rooms. But when I called, they let me do it every single time.I wonder if I already have a room booked if I can rebook it and get the deal.

Chances are you'd have to book a room under the promotion and then cancel the room you currently have booked. I would imagine that, like Disney, Universal allots X number of rooms for each promotion and you must book a room that's part of that allotment. In other words, if you already have a room booked, the promo or pin code can't just be applied to that room. It has to come from the pool of rooms set aside for that promo/pin code and when they're booked up, they're booked up - even if you have a prior reservation there. So you could definitely book a room under the deal, but you'd be in the same boat as the general public and would have to be out a second deposit for a bit until you cancel your original reservation and get the deposit refunded.
I thought that's what would have to happen but that wasn't the case anytime I changed reservations over. The fine print of not applying it to an already booked room means they could have done that - but they didn't. They cancelled the other reservation for me so I was never out an additional deposit. (I should also add that my original reservation was always made directly through the Universal website or by calling Univeral, so not through a seller like expedia.
Interesting. It looks like they are trying to do the same as Disney - push people towards longer stays and it sounds like the deal is already live? It sounds like it's the same "Save More" deal they've been announcing on their website when you stay 4+ nights.I saw this on Orlando Informer...

I know last year Universal Cabana had a pretty good sale. Just wondering if anyone could guess what might happen this year? We are still looking to book 3 more nights (already has 2 booked at Royal Pacific) and have not bought our passes yet.
Thanks
