~~ Sew the crowds in WDW were frightful, but the weather was so delightful ~~Nov 2015 COMPLETE! ~~

Pictures by the tree look great. I've never used the photo pass before but I am tempted to try it next trip.

AK looks really nice in the pictures. I loved the safari ride. How sad that you ran into this rude CM at EE and that the single rider line was closed when you first got there. Crossing my fingers that you managed to get to your ADR in time.

Day 4 Part 2

When I got off of EE, I had a text from Suzi a few minutes prior - her and Bradey were doing a SLOW walk to Tusker House. Mmm-kay... One my waaaaaay...

I will say, running to Tusker House from Expedition Everest is much, much better and easier than running from Tusker House to Expedition Everest like I did on my 2014 trip... Full belly - need I say more?

So, yes, I ran - again - just in the other direction... Sadly - the slow runner that I am, I never actually caught up to Suzi and Bradey until they were in line to check in at TH. ::yes:: Soooo...

Yup - we made it on time - to the minute actually, because I checked my Fitbit.

20151114_094919.jpg

Now, I do have to say... Tusker House used to be my favorite meal... I love the characters here - I love Animal Kingdom... I really love everything about it. Buuuut... Then I ate at The Wave, and everything else pales in comparison. I also feared Suzi and Bradey wouldn't like it here either, because it (honestly) isn't that great of a place... The food is "meh"... The service is "meh"... The meal is rushed, because you don't want to miss characters, and then you have to wait forever for the last ones to come around. But - regardless - TH was my first love, so there will always be a soft spot for it... So, I enjoyed myself as best I could, and had fun with the characters.

First Daisy came around - she loved Suzi's outfit and Donald items!

Then our Pal Mickey came by...

20151114_101512.jpg

At this time, we had eaten all we wanted, and we had paid our bill... And we waited, and waited and waited....

Finally... Goofy came - I love Goofy too... He wrapped Swoozie in a giant-face-smashing-hug... LOL (My apologies for the blurriness of these pictures - it was my fault, I was the operator here).

20151114_105305.jpg

20151114_105310.jpg

And Goofy loved my Goofy Gear.

20151114_105339.jpg

20151114_105333.jpg

And then, last but not least - my guy... The one, the only, Donald #1!

20151114_105934.jpg

Bellies full - and in my case, slightly uncomfortable... We decided to try something new for Suzi and Bradey... Rafiki's Planet Watch.

We boarded the train, for a nice leisurely ride... And a sneaky selfie...

20151114_110607.jpg

Upon exiting the train, we saw these guys - and I think both Suzi and I agree - this was a MUST-DO!

Bradey waiting in line...

20151114_112523.jpg

Eeep! Our turn!!! The bummer about this - at one point in time, Dale had on both Bradey's sunglasses and my sunglasses... The Photopass photographer was clicking away - I thought for sure she captured that moment... But she did not, her angle was all wrong. But take my word for it - it was funny. ::yes::

Phew!!!! That was a lot of fun... And we were off again... Hmmm.... :scratchin What would be next on our list?

Boy you were not kidding that his TR was going to move fast. Looks like you had an amazing time with Suzie, and Bradey. Love the pictures!! Makes me miss Disney, especially at Christmas. The last time was went for Christmas was 12 years ago.
Did I read that you actually went on the monorail? And it didn't break down on you? Could the curse be gone?

Wishing everyone and their families very Blessed Thanksgiving!!1

How great that you made the ADR.
I really enjoyed Rafiki's Planet Watch when I was there. I can't wait to hear what Suzi and Bradey thinks about it.

What a fun time you had. I love all your photpass pictures. What a terrific bonus that your annual pass came with it. I love the Chip and Dale photos. They look like they were so much fun.

What a great TR so far! We are staying for the first time at AKL in Sept of '16 so I am loving all the pics!

Following! This is a great TR so far.

My DW and I were in Kidani Village for the final nights of our Disneymoon the first few nights you were in Jambo House. I agree that I prefer JH over Kidani; however I do prefer the Kidani pool over Jambo pool. I believe we had Disboards Bill as our return driver following MVMCP on the 12th. We left MK following everything that night and it was a fun ride home even as tired as we all were.

I'm a lurker but love your TR's! You're an inspiration with your dedication to leading a healthy lifestyle. I think you look great but what I notice most of all in your pictures is your beautiful smile :earsboy: The pictures with Chip and Dale are so good!

Loving your TR too. You are making me want to try the Wave now. We were at TH on our trip in October and I thought it was pretty good - but if the Wave is better...I want it!! Your photopass pics are awesome. I like the one with the christmas lights "frame" around you guys!

That Bradey is SO cute, oh my gosh. Great Photopass pics from Animal Kingdom. :thumbsup2

I would've been a little :confused3 at single rider not being open too but hey, at least standby seemed like it moved quickly!?

If The Wave is that awesome compared to Tusker House (which I love), I will have to try it!

We were really looking forward to our meal at Tusker House in October after having such a good time there two years ago. But it turned out to be a little less outstanding than the first time. Even though our food was good, it didn't seem quite as good as the first time. The character interaction was fun, though, and they came quickly. We got out of there in 45 minutes. But I wished we had just had the character breakfast at Cape May, instead. We were staying at the Beach Club with our daughter and grandchildren and it would have been so much easier to eat there.

Your breakfast at The Wave looked good. We had dinner there two years ago and it was very good. We haven't worked it back into our schedule since then, but maybe we'll get there when we go back in January.

Your quiet evening at AKL looked very relaxing. We find that we enjoy our trips more when we spend less time in the parks. They are very stressful places to be sometimes.

Yay - Mo and the family stopped by. I can't wait to hear about your shared experiences. :)

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Morning!

I love your report so far!!!

Especially the part meeting up with us... LOL!! Just kidding...

I have to say here you all are just so darn cute! D~ you look amazing!!! so proud of you.
Suzi you and Brady are just simply so ADORABLE!! I just love you guys to bits! the outfits are perfect for you all too. and I LOVE the christmas bags!!

sounds like your taking it easy.. YET you are getting a TON done in the few days your there already!

Yes the pictures are lacking of all of us ONLY BECAUSE i said no pictures... totally blame me. After driving FOREVER we all looked ragged. I didn't want to scare anyone!

Their resort had me drooling.. It was AH-MAZ-ING It has made it to my bucket list! their view was beautiful, the room itself was spacious and perfect for them! AND a washer and dryer!!! I do wish they had a second bathroom.. this is very important to us..

I just adore you girls (Bradey too)

I do believe i RAN across that bridge like fat albert too???

Welcome home my friend!!! I was so happy to get to see you in WDW!!!! So sad that all of my friends are home now... I loved having you there - it was like continuing our trip. But glad you got home safely.

Thank you!!! You are looking awesome yourself - I loved seeing you in person and seeing your progress!!! You are doing fantastic! Keep it up!

Hahahha... I think we all looked ragged - but I understand. Truly. :lovestruc

You did run across the bridge - I missed it with my camera though, and I only got you coming back across. ::yes::

Love you - miss you!

From staying at both AKV and BLT in the same trip, i thought that the transportation at AKV was better for everywhere except MK. I'm thinking the poly will be the same. I'm staying at poly on my next trip, but it is a resort only trip. Trying to see how i let DH talk me into going to disney but not doing the parks.

Yes - our transportation was OK - most of the time to/from many of the parks (but definitely NOT MK)... However, both Suzi and I agree - during park opening/closing, Disney really NEEDS to have separate buses for Jambo/Kidani. It's so bad... I'll have pics later in the TR. But - as a whole - MK was, by far, the worst of the worst.

Ooooh - that sounds like an awesome trip!!!! Have fun!

I love a fast moving TR, great job so far! Thanks guys for the nice words about my Mickey and Minnie Toms! I love to show my Disney side when touring the parks. It was so great seeing you again D~ and really great to meet more dis friends: Suzi (& Bradey) and Bernadette! Thanks for letting me tag along for a few minutes at MVMCP and I was so excited to run into you all at the Parade later. I was happy to help out with the photos!

Oh good - because I am certainly moving this one along quickly! LOL

Loved seeing you again too Monica! As always, it's a treat to be able to time our trips, so we can catch up once in a while.

So glad you all got to hang out for a bit!

I'm loving these food pictures - everything looks so good!

Ugh I hate when that happens! The worst is when it doesn't seem like it's moving at all! that's good you got in after a few minutes.

Nice!:

So cute you three
I love those necklaces that you and Suzi have on, but I have to ask, are they very heavy?

My favorites! Great picture:

Glad you got on EE eventually. Yeah, that CM didn't need to be rude, SB line usually is normally open...

Yes - we didn't get to hang out for long - but it was enough to say hello and pass out hugs!

Love Disney food... LOL Sometimes, it's the main reason I go back. I need to find the recipe for the grits at The Wave... I did find the recipe for the curry chicken salad from Mara last night though - so I am sure I'll be making that one soon enough. :scratchin

Thanks!!! The necklaces aren't really heavy - but after a few days, they do get annoying... I love them though - and they are a fun/easy accessory.

Pictures by the tree look great. I've never used the photo pass before but I am tempted to try it next trip.

Thanks! You should - it's my favorite souvenir - I get it every trip, even if I get nothing else, I use those pictures for everything, all of the time. Well worth the price, IMO. :thumbsup2

AK looks really nice in the pictures. I loved the safari ride. How sad that you ran into this rude CM at EE and that the single rider line was closed when you first got there. Crossing my fingers that you managed to get to your ADR in time.

It was so nice!!! We love AK!!! Yah - she was kind of a bummer, but in the end it was OK - I was able to get a ride on EE. :thumbsup2

Hehehehe... Yup - I hope to be done with it quickly, so I can go back to the PTR section and relax for a little while before I have to leave on Allison's trip.

I hope you are able to make it back for Christmas soon.

I did - and it didn't break down on me... I was waiting for it - trust me. LOL

Thank you - same to you!

How great that you made the ADR.
I really enjoyed Rafiki's Planet Watch when I was there. I can't wait to hear what Suzi and Bradey thinks about it.

Yes, I was happy to make it on time! :woohoo:

I think RPW is a lot of fun - but I usually don't stay there long, because there is so much else to do.

What a fun time you had. I love all your photpass pictures. What a terrific bonus that your annual pass came with it. I love the Chip and Dale photos. They look like they were so much fun.

Thanks - it was a lot of fun!!! It worked out in the end, I was just lucky that I purchased it when I did. Had I waited - I probably would have had a harder time justifying the cost?

What a great TR so far! We are staying for the first time at AKL in Sept of '16 so I am loving all the pics!

Thanks! I am glad you are enjoying it! :D You will love it - it's a gorgeous resort!

Thank you!!! Welcome!

I am pretty sure that was the same night I thought we had Bill? We went back to the resort earlier though. :scratchin But I did see him the next night directing people out of MK to the buses - I asked him flat out if he was "Disboards Bill" and he said no... So... Either he was messing with me or there are two really awesome bus drivers named Bill? LOL Regardless - he was super funny and I did enjoy him a lot! ::yes::

Love everything so far!

Thanks!!! I am super happy you are here and following along Adi! :lovestruc

I'm a lurker but love your TR's! You're an inspiration with your dedication to leading a healthy lifestyle. I think you look great but what I notice most of all in your pictures is your beautiful smile The pictures with Chip and Dale are so good!

Welcome!!! I am glad to have you here and following along!

Thank you - I try... It's frustrating right now, but I am still trying - so I guess that's what counts? Awwww... Thanks so much!!! That was very nice of you to say. :lovestruc

Loving your TR too. You are making me want to try the Wave now. We were at TH on our trip in October and I thought it was pretty good - but if the Wave is better...I want it!! Your photopass pics are awesome. I like the one with the christmas lights "frame" around you guys!

Thanks Kathy!!! I am glad you are enjoying it! You NEED to try The Wave... Seriously!!! Mmmmm.....

Thanks - I loved most of our Photopass pictures this trip... Except that one day... That day is still coming...

That Bradey is SO cute, oh my gosh. Great Photopass pics from Animal Kingdom. :

I would've been a little :confused3 at single rider not being open too but hey, at least standby seemed like it moved quickly!?

If The Wave is that awesome compared to Tusker House (which I love), I will have to try it!

Bradey is such a great kid - I really enjoyed spending time with him and Suzi in WDW!

Thanks - Love AK anyways - and I just had a lot of fun getting pictures there... Suzi and I especially LOVED the AK tree!

It was confusing.... It moved pretty quickly - I just hoped it would move quickly enough - I told myself that if I didn't board by 9:30 (our adr was 9:40) - that I would exit the line and leave. I boarded the train at 9:31... Close enough. LOL

You NEED to try it - seriously... Mmmmmm.... Maybe I shouldn't be telling everyone to try it??? LOL There will be no reservations left for me. LOL

Yay - Mo and the family stopped by. I can't wait to hear about your shared experiences.

Maybe that's why I am not liking it as much??? That it's possibly gone down hill... I do know that they didn't have my banana bread pudding there anymore - that's one of the MAIN reasons I go... Poof - it was gone. :(

It was really, really good - you should try to work it back into your schedule... It was so yummy and relaxing.

It was a nice evening - and we needed it... but trust me, we made up for it later. ::yes::

Yay!!! We were so happy to see her and the family!!!

Love Chip and Dale- we also have never taken the train at AK! Maybe this time!

It's nice - even for just a leisurely train ride to relax. It's not long - maybe 5 min? You should try it if you have the time. ::yes::

*******************************************************************************************

No updates today... I"ll give you all a break. LOL I just have too much going on with Thanksgiving meal prep...

Buuut.... I'll probably do a few updates tomorrow - I know, it's Thanksgiving... But all of my work for the meal is today. Tomorrow, Josh does all of the work... So, I'll likely have time after my race in the morning. :thumbsup2

Happy Thanksgiving all!!!!! I hope you are able to enjoy the day with family and friends! :lovestruc
