Mouse Savers has posted on 11/23/1915 that another ticket price is coming soon.

P T Barnum is working overtime.

If you have already reserved a package on the Disney web site and they increase ticket prices after the fact....do your prices go up or do you get to keep the prices that were in effect at booking?

If you have already booked with current prices your prices do not go up.

Have to assume that is not going to affect Annual Pass rates..... again.

Any idea what "soon" means? The last two (non-AP) price hikes have been in February. That could be considered soon. If soon means in the next week, then it could make bridging to an AP next week cheaper for me...unless of course they raise AP prices again. But that seems crazy.

January and February is usual time frame.

I doubt they raise the AP prices so soon but a regular ticket increase isn't out of the question.

Another thought. As of right now, I do NOT have hoppers, but I'm thinking I will add them. Should I do that prior to the price increase?

Possibly the start of the tiered pricing that has been discussed.

Your prices won't go up UNLESS you make a change to your existing reservation after the ticket price increase. So if you want to upgrade to PHs, do it before the next hike.

oh tiered pricing.. I wonder how it will actually impact crowd calendars, if it will make a difference really when people travel or not. I do not see Christmas in Disney people switching only to may September times for cheaper tickets. Nor do i see Disney making the slower times door tickets go any lower than they are now. To be honest i wouldn't be surprised to see both a minor increase overall for tickets and tiered pricing all at once

I completely agree. I believe Tiered pricing will go UP from current levels. I would be shocked if there was a decrease because you wanted to visit mid-week in September. It's more likely the current prices will be the low "off season" price, and the prices will only increase depending on day of the week and time of year. I guess we will know soon enough!

If you add tiered ticket prices to tiered resort prices and even tiered buffet prices.... that could add up to a substantial difference between going in a peak season and going in a discounted off season.

But yeah people will go, when they can go - kids out of school, holidays... There has always been a difference in cost between these times.

I am not looking forward to the tiered pricing. I think it might be a real cluster until they/we figure out how it actually works, kind of like FP+, but maybe not as bad, I hope.

Tiered pricing won't affect crowd levels at all...

It's just a way of capitalizing on easy to determine domestic and international travel patterns.

It probably will only even make the decision slightly interesting for the most repeat of travelers...vacation club and locals

I don't think it will affect the HIGH crowd levels at all. You might see level 10 crowds go to level 9.8. Or Level 9 crowds go to 8.9. Not enough to notice. But I DO think the tiered pricing will attract more people during the cheaper times, effectively eliminating the small crowd advantage that currently exists by going those times of the year.

Yes, there are plenty of people who can ONLY go at certain times of the year. But there are also plenty of people who have never been, and could go other times, but choose summer or Christmas simply because it is most convenient. They don't know all of the pros and cons of the peak seasons, weather, ect. But now they go to book their vacation, and they see it will be 40% cheaper for them to go in September than in July.
