Disney dangled the visual weinee & Mickeystoontown gobbled it up! 10/26

I'm still here! Departure days are the WORST! Even if you have a whole day of a park, it is still overshadowed by the fact it is almost over!

Can't wait to see all the crap you bought!:lmao:

I'm still here too and looking forward to your next report! Leaving is the absolute worst. We usually end our trips at Jason's dad's house about 90 minutes NW of Orlando, so when we leave it's still super sad, but at least we still have a few days of vacation left. Loved all your Wishes and parade pics!

Can't wait to see all the crap you bought!

I'm also still here and looking forward to your next report! I also enjoyed your article re: ShellieMae on the Magical Distractions!

I'm still here! I love reading your reports and am so sad this one is ending, but it's great to know there is a new one to look forward to! I think maybe it seems some people have stopped reading might be due to them not getting updates. Before you and I left for our respective trips to Disney I had issues getting them and it seems to be a continuing trend. I had to go into my subscribed threads to come see there were more posts! Luckily now it seems I am getting regular emails about your updates which is great.

Departure day is the pits!! As a kid we always drove from Philly which I think is about 16-18 hours straight through so I definitely know that sort of road trip! Now I fly there so it makes departing a bit easier, just because I know I don't have that drive ahead of me, but that day never gets less sad.

Isn't leaving Disney just the worst feeling? At least you go back every year so your wait isn't too long. Thanks so much for sharing another trip with us. Oh and I love looking at souvenirs. What did you buy?

We have a similar journey time home and it's horrid isn't it. I suppose at least mine is spent in an airport or a plane so we can wander around and get fed! I bet you have us way beat on cost though :rotfl2:

Hi! Just wanted to let you know I have loved reading your trip reports! Yep- it STINKS checking out and driving back to the real world. We usually go once a year also and drive about 11 hours from middle tennessee. We leave after work around 5-6:00, sometimes later, and drive all night long.

Ive seen the articulated buses but haven't gotten a chance to ride on one.

Departure days are the worst especially when they are early. We never drive to Disney so we don't have that long trip in the car.

I'm still with you til the bitter end. Leaving DW is the bitter end. As soon as I get home, I start my countdown ticker for our next trip. Unfortunately it's usually two years before we make it back. That's a lot of days to tick off. Right now I only have 108 days left.

I love all your pictures and the way your write. Now I can't wait for your next adventure.

Hunter's pictures were excellent! I have enjoyed the whole trip right along with you. I can't believe you make that drive home in one day - that is a long haul. Does Hunter help drive now? I am looking forward to another fun TR for this year, so get busy, girl! (I don't know how you have time to do this, along with the columns for the new site and everything else you do!) How is the job hunting coming along? I feel their pain on that, as it isn't as easy as some people seem to think to find something decent these days.

I'm still here! Hunter did get some really nice Castle show and Wishes pics, the ones from the MSEP are good too. Mine never come out that great.

So sad to see your TR ending, I agree with you and everyone else, departure day is the pits! Especially when you don't know when you will be back  My does his trips the same way you do, 2 days on the way down, 1 on the way back. he is usually by himself, though and meeting us down there (either me and Tim, or my Brother and his family). He is in Philadelphia, so his drive home is about 1100 miles, usually takes about 15-16 hours.

Looking forward to your next TR! Make sure you post a link on this one.

Just know i am reading.. Everyone's reports.. Once i get over this funk i will be putting my witty two cents into everyones reports again.

I'm still following too! I'm just the worst for commenting on trip reports, but I love reading them!! Can't wait to hear about this past May's adventures :thumbsup2

Starting the drive to Disney is THE best day ever and driving home is THE worst.

Truer words have never been spoken.::yes::

I'm a lurker but still reading! I love your TR's and I'm happy there will be another one coming soon! :dogdance:

I'm sorry I haven't been replying, it's a PITA on my phone and that's usually where I'm reading your updates lol but I've been following along! I can't wait to start your next trip report!

Those last day wrap ups and drives home are always so sad.

I was on a cruise the past four days and am very tired, so I may be seeing things......does that say Hunter's GRADUATION trip on your ticker? Or am I just super tired? It must be from JR high right lol? Time really does fly.

I'm still here! I just don't seem to make it to the DIS more than a couple days a week lately.

I LOVE Disney's fireworks and parades. And you got some nice pictures of both - even with heads and arms.

Departure day is a sad day, true. But it is still SOOOOO good to sleep in your own bed after being on a long trip.

Sorry -- I've been following along but not posting. I do LOVE your trip reports and will definitely read your next one! You had such a wonderful trip!

I'm still following along, and I'll definitely join in on the next report you write. Overall, I just haven't been on the boards much these last few months. Life gets busy sometimes!

Leaving the parks for that final time is always so sad. You just don't want to call it quits and head back to your resort, no matter how tired you are.
And I feel like the longer the Disney vacation, the harder it is to deal with departure day. Why do Disney trips have to end?
