can you buy magic bands and have the sent to the UK before your trip?

Can anyone help. I have just booked a trip for September 2016. I have been looking at tickets and stuff online and via UK travel agents. Would you recommend waiting till in Florida before buying tickets or are we better buying them from a travel agent in the UK? Or buying them online from a ticketing website and have them sent to the uk? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know that if I want to use the fast pass + option and book them 30 days in advance then I would need to have tickets prior to our trip. I also notice if I buy tickets from a UK travel agent then you get a free memory maker? Is is worth it? Has anyone used memory maker? I am really confused and don't really understand the difference between memory maker and the photpass that was in place when I was there. I believe memory maker links in with the magic band.

Lastly if I buy my park tickets before I travel can I get a magic band in the UK? Or get them sent to the UK?

I would really appreciate any tips or advice that can be given.

UK tickets are a much better deal than US buy them in the UK. Magic bands will not be sent to the UK pick them up at your Disney resort check in

Ok thank you. What if I am not staying at a Disney resort? Can I pick up magic bands from downtown Disney? We are staying close to that? Thank you for your help.
 
I don't see much point in having magic bands if not staying at a Disney resort. The bands won't do anything you can't do with your tickets.

The major benefits of bands is charging privileges but you need a room for that
 


But I thought the idea of memory maker was that by wearing the band it hooked up all your pictures to the band. If you don't have a band it wouldn't work the same. Or that's my understanding of it.
 
You can link MM to your magic band and your tickets and FPs. But you don't have to have one, you'd just used your tickets or MM card instead.

Thanks chilly, it's so confusing. Lol. I like the idea of having the magic band and not worry about where I put my ticket! Lol.
 


There is no advantage to having a MagicBand if you are not stayin on site, in my opinion, other than the ease of using it to scan at FP+ checkpoints and for Memory Maker. You can buy bands in any of the parks and at the TTT and they will link them straight away to your MDE account. So definitely no advantage to buying in advance a paying for shipping to the UK, if you could even do that.

OP you can buy magicbands all over WDW when you arrive, you can also buy them at the Disney store in the airport at Orlando on your arrival. Staff there or in any of the WDW shops will link your park ticket and memory make to the band when you buy it.

Agreed, and it can help if you always lose your ticket! It also adds the photos on some rides automatically so you don't have to get in the scrum or remember to scan your ticket when you get off.

For UK guests who have booked a package this is a must in my eyes as they are getting MM for free, and should make the most of it!
 
Sounds brilliant. I think I will be getting myself a magic band! Can you get the magic bands in downtown Disney? Does anyone know? Shall be visiting there on the day we arrive. Do t arrive till early evening!

You can get them everywhere, absolutely everywhere. At DTD, you will have most luck at World of Disney or the pin trading store.
 
We were not staying on site but still got magic bands, we used them for FP and our dining reservations.

You can get them everywhere, we got ours from animal kingdom
