How far in advance do people book their honeymoon? Thank you very much

i think the general booking window at any resort is really like a year? it isn't any more "open" for a honeymoon (or other special occasion). once we had our wedding date, and the dates were available, we reserved our rooms. it could be a year and a half but i think its a year. HTH!

As, the marriage date is fixed one should decide the honeymoon destination and book the tickets. It is very necessary that after marriage ,couple should plan for the honeymoon immediately. I am going to get married in the month of December at Addison of Boca Raton. And for honeymoon, we are going to Switzerland.

We knew from the beginning we would likely rent DVC points for our honeymoon. Since our original date was 18 months away we were going to wait until the eleven month booking window to book the honeymoon; however, so certain family could attend we moved the wedding ahead by eleven months and wound up needing to book the honeymoon right away.

Edit: So I would say, as soon as you know where you want to honeymoon and when you want to honeymoon, book at the earliest opportunity possible.
