Me and DD will be flying to Anaheim October 15-18. We went last year and did MHP. This year I thought about doing Knotts berry farms the morning of MHP and Disney that evening. We only have 3 days so I thought maybe just getting 3 day park hoppers and skipping both all together. Has anyone visited Knotts berry recently, are there things to do for a child who doesn't like thrill rides? I can't decide, help. I need some input:confused3

Which day/morning had you thought about going to Knott's? And which days for Disney parks?
How old is DD?

If she doesn't like thrill rides she might not enjoy Knotts too much because aside from Camp Snoopy, it's mainly rollercoasters

Knotts is fun, but more aimed at older kids, and you need a whole day. Better to spend your time in Disney if you only have 3 days.

There's a good amount to do at Knotts even without rides. Camp Snoopy for one, there's also Carnival Games, some shows ongoing, Arts and Crafts in the Frontierland area. Bakery and other goods. And meet Snoopy!

Other Folks ... For those visiting late Sept / Oct. Knotts Scary Farm is a good time

If you are not into thrill rides I would skip Knott's all together seeing as you only have 3 days.

Knott's has some great rides, but most of them are more thrilling than Disney versions. I would just skip it and enjoy the ambiance at DL. Knott's has some areas that are themed and some not, definitely not to the caliber of Disney. Camp Snoopy is for little kids, similar to Bug's Land. We like it, but mostly for the rides and the Chicken Dinner.

We've tried Knott's on a few trips.
It really opens your eyes as to the difference between theme parks.
My grandkids even noticed a difference.

If you haven't been before, you might want to try it at least once.

How old is the child? My daughter was 2 1/2 when we went to Knott's and there were SO MANY Kiddie rides she got to go on with virtually no wait (on a Friday in December). I was really impressed with the number of small kid rides available for her. I'm trying to convince my husband to take a day off from DL to go to Knott's this next trip since we'll be there for 6 days.
That said, with only 3 days i wouldn't skip DL for Knott's...

Knott's is very affordable when compared to DL and a lot of fun. I suggest you go on their website and see how many rides they have you think your little one would enjoy. If you go make sure you eat at the chicken restaurant in front of the park.

Knott's Berry Farm is very different to anything Disney offers. Depending on how old your DD is, Knott's has a majority of fast, roller coaster type rides. That said, my DD and I went last year during Christmas. My DD was 15 at the time and we went with some friends (8 year and 5 year)...so the big coasters were mostly out for us. That said, we did Camp Snoopy (lots of fun), some of the gentler rides in the big part (including the train, stage coach, flyers, mine train, log jammer, and so on). We also wondered through the cool ghost town, the Mystery Lodge was AMAZING. It took us all day but I am sure that you could do it before the party if you have your own car and hurry a bit.

We really enjoyed Knotts the one time that we visited.

It has a real laid back relaxed vibe to it.

We didn't feel QUITE as safe as we did at Disneyland though. But we had fun :)
