Resorts we are looking at/Month Sept 2016(Sun- Thur):
AKV ,BWV,VGF,Poly standard room.

I'm looking at booking 2 studios - 1 for me and DH and the other for our 23 yr old DD
Which Resort would you suggest. We have only stayed at Poly, but that was Lake View.

What I'm looking at is your opinion about the room its self , did you like the size?, the layout?, was the room bright by day light?, storage?. Please let me now TIApixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Opinions are like the wind, they often blow. I'm guessing that you are a member and if true, just pick a resort, keep a journal of your stays, pick a different resort next time. After staying at all of the resorts, using your journal you can decide which resorts to repeat and which to avoid.

I would skip the Poly since you've already stayed there. Is there a park you'll spend more time at? BWV is great for Epcot, and VGF for MK. If theming is important to you, I think AKV is the best.

There are getting to be a few differences in studios at different resorts but at their core they are essentially hotel rooms. Since you've already done Poly and are considering others I'd probably skip that. VGF is a lighter decor as is the new BWV design. It's a split bath at VGF if that's important. AKV is a dark decor but I enjoy it. Seems nice after the bright Florida sunshine. :) Jambo house studios have 2 sinks which is nice. Kidani has a larger bathroom with a water closet in it vs the shower/toilet in a room that both Jambo and BWV will have with the sinks outside in a dressing area.

So based on rooms only I hope that helps. For me the small differences aren't enough in the studios to declare any better than the other in most cases. OKW and BLT have the more important design differences vs all the rest although if we were ones to bring 5 to a studio then a few other things could factor in. We decide a bit more based on the overall resort and intended parks or events going on.

Well on a practical note....unless VGF happens to be your home resort I don't think there is much chance you would be able to nab 2 studios for your entire stay. If you think you will be spending more time in your room then AKV might be nice, if you want easy access to Epcot or the Studios then BW might be a better option but the chances of being able to book 2 standard view studios at the 7 month window there are not great either (although pool/garden views are usually available unless it is during food and wine festival time, then all bets for BW studios are off)...so it looks like the Poly or AKV will be your most likely possibilities at the 7 month window....studios are getting harder and harder to book. Not sure where your home resort is and that might make a difference since you could book at the 11 month window. If you went with 1 one BR unit you would probably have more options at all of those locations.
On a decor note, the layout at all of those places is similar. AKV are definitely the darkest of the group. All others are brighter and done in lighter tones. My personal favorite is the VGF, but all are nice. BW is also light and bright. The units at the Poly are a bit larger although with no more than 2 of you in each room it won't make much difference. The bathrooms at VGF and Poly are that nice split design although again with only 1 or 2 of you in each room the standard layout is not likely to be a problem.
I think it may be more a case of what is available when you get ready to book. Personally I would be happy in any of them :cutie:

My answer is it depends.

If you will be spending most of your time at EPCOT and HS I would go with BWV (our home resort). If you are spending time at MK primarily any of the monorail resorts would be fine. Will your Daughter be rooming with someone? If so will their day be spent at the pool mostly and lounges in the evening? I could pick out of a hat and be happy with any of them.

If you like bright decor, probably VGF is your best bet. One other benefit there is that since the resort is so small, you know the rooms won't be all that far apart even if they are at opposite ends of the resort.

On the other hand, you could end up with studios quite a distance from each other at BWV and AKV.

By the way, I think you have a very good chance of getting those two studios at the 7 month mark in September. Especially if it is early September before F&W starts.
