ok wow where to start i guess first some basic details DVC member since 2010 and 5th trip on my points first time at BLT first time at a monorail resort since 1986. I have only stayed at BCV and BWV and AKL on points. also first time traveling on points with just my family of 3 and not with a large group.

ok here goes.....i apologize for grammar and my overall English

we had a studio lake view and i requested a higher floor to try and avoid the 5th floor i was afraid of noise from foot traffic.....so we arrive did the online check in and got an update at 1030 that the room was not ready and we arrived off the bus at 11 and put our carry on bags away and headed to the MK had to turn in the AP vouchers for passes before we could enter...line was long but moved ok. got a text at 1:00 room was ready and room number and WAIT FOR IT......5th floor i was like my god really....LUCKILY we were on the left side of the building so we did not get the foot traffic...ok so get to the room.......it was decent clean but very worn for a 5 year old building. there was damage in the bathroom and the safe was broken. i called about the safe it took 2 people to fix it and that was done with in a few hours....now the bathroom i did not call and complain about it but the TP holder looked like it was kicked and hanging on by a thread....why this was not fixed before we got there i don't know but on refresh day i came back to nap and and i noticed it looked like someone took it off the wall and jammed it in to the wall again.....so now a get a knock on the door its maintenance asking to fix it.....i was like ok we are just hanging my girls were napping.....well i thought they would just tighten it they did a whole new fix took 2 plus hours.....now the guys were SUPER NICE but i was not really happy this was going on when we were there.....if i knew how long it would take i would have told them to come back.......and the internet was useless 1000000%

BOG dinner and real good but had a bad location near the kitchen but food was ok...dont get the lamb real small and fatty.....

So things we loved about BLT tower the views, fireworks, walk to MK and easy access to Monorail resorts.

things we disliked there bus system we always were the first pick up before wilderness and the last drop off so it was like max pain at least BCV and YC you have an easier ride for one of them. bus service to DS was super suspect especially getting picked up. it just seemed to us that it was a major process getting anywhere getting to epcot via monorail was easy getting back not so much just took longer....we view MK as an all day destination at at least 6 plus hours we like to pop in and out of HWS and ecpot being at BLT you cant really do that bc its 30-40 minutes of travel time each way. the ride to AK seems forever esp stopping at the water park. i feel like Epcot area is just more centralized and i dont mind riding 30-40 to get to MK bc we are there for a longer time......so i guess the main dislike was that travel and for the time being i dont think we will be going back to BLT or any of the monorail resorts for a long time. Building was awesome but for my family we are more epcot people.

now we squeezed this trip into the last week before school started it was my first time being in Disney in august holy crap it crushed us we prepared ourselves as best we could but the heat beat us a few times.....i was like now my DD is going into 6th grade we should try and not pull her out we are OCT/May people.....but aftter august i am like F that she can miss lol.......the rain was not that fun either got caught in 2 big ones

again sorry if some of this does not make sense i tend to ramble......

It all made sense to me! Great TR.

So, Coral Reef. It's been on my list for a while, but when we popped in to check it out this past May--just before it opened for lunch, and the employees were very welcoming, letting us check it out while they were still setting up--we noticed a strange smell. A strange, *bad* smell. We couldn't tell where it came from, but it smelled like dirty diapers to us (we are not parents, so maybe dirty diapers smell better or worse than that, LOL!). Did you happen to notice a smell?

Other than that--they apparently read your request as "PLEASE put us on the fifth floor! We love it!" LOL! Sorry that happened, but it turned out to be not so bad.

Great report, pics are always welcome!
