DCP Spring 2016

I'm going to apply too although I am nervous but also VERY excited! My heart belongs in Disney World so that's where I wanna be! I have no idea which roles I would choose but I think that because I just love interacting with people, maybe I should be at concierge or attractions. I gotta do some research. Also very nervous about the phone interview haha! I hope we all see each other there :)

Hey guys! So excited about the Disney College Program for Spring 2016. I just applied! Anyone else?!

Wishing everyone the best of luck! I won't be applying until the Spring 2017 program (hopefully!), but sending best wishes to everyone else!

I applied today and have a phone interview scheduled for next week. I am SO excited!! Spring 2016:)

Hopefully I can start this thread rolling with the good news - I just found out today that I've been accepted as a Vacation Planner for the Spring Advantage 2016 program! I still can't believe that I am going to be moving to Orlando in a few months!!!! Sending pixie dust to everyone else on here so we can have a group of Dis'ers down there!

Congratulations! I am so happy and excited for you! Now I am freaking out and checking my dashboard every five seconds! :)

I got accepted for Spring Advantage 2016 Lifeguard! I move in January 11th. I'm really excited to start, I've been an Ellis trained lifeguard (which is what Disney uses) for two years at a water park, so I've got similar experience. If anyone has questions about Lifeguard let me know! It's a very highly demanded job from Disney, so it's really easy to get in if you show interest in Lifeguarding, which really isn't that bad! I love doing it!

Congrats! :earboy2: I am still waiting to hear back! How and when did you find out? I hope to see you there! :)

Thanks so much!! What part of the process are you at?

I found out yesterday. I heard on the facebook group the wave was starting and I was driving so I put my phone on silent so I wouldn't see it and be distracted haha. But when I got home, I set my phone on the dining room table and ran to my room to get my laptop so I could stalk the page and my dash, and when I came back 10 seconds later I had an email and I laughed like haha that'd be so funny if this was from Disney and I opened my phone and omg it was it I freaked out. It was 12:34 pm EST when I got the email.

I had my phone interview on the 31st, and my dashboard says "in progress". I was super calm about the situation until I heard about people getting acceptances too. Now each time I hear my phone go off for an email I freak out. I also check my dashboard like a million times a day. Haha. I am so happy for you! That is awesome!

I found out how to change the noise my phone makes whenever I got an email from Disney, so I wouldn't freak every time I got a regular email. It worked out pretty nice haha. Good luck!! Hope to see you down there in January!!

I totally just did that! Good idea! :) Thank you! :tinker:

Congrats everyone who has been accepted so far! I did about half of a FA program (had to self-term due to getting into grad school) and it was one of the best experiences of my life!! I miss it every day! If anyone is lucky enough to get Attractions at the Jungle Cruise, you're at my old stomping ground :)

Hey!

I did the CP in the Fall of 2013 and I'll be applying for my second go-around for the Spring of 2016.

I did Merchandise at Backlands (Tatooine, Muppets, Streets of America) at Hollywood Studios on my last program if anyone has any questions. I didn't have any retail experience when I applied, but I found the job to be pretty easy, entertaining, and fun. I'll be applying for Photopass, Front Desk, and Attractions as my top 3 this time around. I wanted Photopass my last time around as that's my major and I had a ton of experience but the role is really limited. Attractions and Merchandise are big roles, so you'll have a higher chance at those. Two of my friends were just accepted for attractions for this Fall.

You got merchandise without having any retail background? Merchandise is actually one of my top choices but I've never had an experience in retail and, since I'm applying for fall of 2016, I am planning on getting a job at a local Disney store just so I have retail experience, which I'm wondering if that will increase my chances of being accepted?

I got accepted for Merch! I have no retail experience at all, but I'm excited to learn :goodvibes

Please tell me others are waiting still... I am so anxious... I applied pretty late, middle of October and still haven't heard back. I know technically we have like a week or more until they can tell us but the anxiety is killing me! Hopefully we can all see each other soon.
